In four weeks on June 17 the sun will be setting in the borthwest (304°) at 8:37 pm,π which is 19 minutes and 59 seconds later then today. In 2021 on that day, we had mostly sunny and temperatures between 73 and 46 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 80 and 58 degrees. The record high of 94 degrees was set back in 1994.
The transit of the sun is the mid point of the day, when the sun is due south. This varies based on the time of year, but is halfway point between sunrise and sunset.

Made it almost to the weekend, but it’s going to be a hot one. π Mostly cloudy and 59 degrees to start out the day, but come later looking at peaks of sunshine with a high of around 84 degrees. Not bad when the climate normal for this time of year is 73 degrees.
But the real story of the heat comes tomorrow just in time for the Lupine Festival π¦ where it might reach 94 degrees or even higher π‘shattering the record, as what looks like to be start of a very hot summer, or maybe not depending on who you ask. Back to reality come Monday though, with temperatures only in the 70s to start the work week.
Yesterday, I brought a book down to the park π and read for a while before going for a nature walk. It was surprising cool evening, but this evening should be much more warmer. I have to go over to Lynne’s house and get the supplies for the lupine festival, and then go to the grocery store π as I keep putting this off. But it is going to be a hot evening, so I figure get out and enjoy the air conditioning in my truck.
