Good morning! What day is it? Hump Day, of course. πͺ We can leave out the Homesteady humor today, as I am pretending today is a virtual Friday, although it’s not because I still have to work on Thursday and Friday from Lake Pleasant at least for one more long weekend. Two weeks to Flower Moon π . By then it will warm up and we will have daisies and flower power. πΌ Did you see the 8-14 day out look? Summer is coming! Partly cloudy and 46 degrees in Delmar, NY. β
There is a west-northwest breeze at 15 mph. π.
Today will be mostly sunny π, with a high of 63 degrees at 3pm. Seven degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 24th. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. One more real chilly spring day with that stiff wind. Had a real strong gust blow through some time last night. No power or branches down right nearby who knows. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with a few breaks of sun the afternoon. The high last year was 54 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 1881. There was a dusting of snow in 1996.β
With that wind π I’m not expecting a real warm day but hopefully the clouds will push away. Windows are closed at home. Might open a few later for fresh air. A bit chilly but the sun helps when it is out from under the clouds and the sky is quite blue to the north.
I was thinking of working in the office π’ today, but now that the plumbing is fixed and I won’t have that distraction I have nothing to worry about and I can work from home. I’d rather do that as during downtime I can pack for the weekend. Next week at this time, I’ll be well on my way to downtown on the bus π. The reduced bus schedule means an earlier departure for me. I sure hope they bring back the express bus stop and added services at rush hour. Back to in person work two days a week next week.
I’m thinking I will leave at 7 AM tomorrow and spend the day working from Lake Pleasant Thursday and Friday. βΊ I’d like to camp at Mason Lake where I have cell service but I don’t think that’s open yet.
