Good morning! Happy Thursday. Partly cloudy and 61 degrees in Delmar, NY. ⛅ Calm wind. The dew point is 59 degrees. The skies will clear around 8 am. Nice start to the morning but it’s going to be a hot day.
I was hoping to get an early start and work all day up in Speculator but that was not to be. 🚘 To drive up north by then and be ready to work at nine, I’d have to get up at 5:30 this morning, hit the road by seven to be ready to clock 🕒 on at nine. Going to be another busy day at work so maybe it’s best – it would be hot working down at the Speculator Public Library although I could also work down at the town park ⛲.
But truth be told, I was up much too late last night 🌃 to make such an early morning start possible. So I will work and at the same time run downstairs and do some cleaning and packing. While some of my job involves intimate laptop use, a lot involves just taking calls 📞 and emails 📧 and finding solutions to people’s problems.
Today will be mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 87 degrees at 3pm. Eight degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 63 at 6pm. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. A year ago, we had light rain in the morning with a few breaks of sun the afternoon. It was somewhat humid. The high last year was 75 degrees. The record high of 97 was set in 2018.
Without a question, it’s going to be a real hot one 🔥 but even hotter tomorrow. But by tomorrow camp will be set up and hopefully it won’t be that hot and I might be able to go for a swim 🏊 in Lake Algonquin.

While the books 📚 have yet to arrive, I’ve ordered a bunch of books from the Bethlehem Library and partner libraries that once they’re in I’ll pick up through the drive through library. Hopefully they’ll have them when I get back home as I want to start going to the park ⛲ and reading 📖 after work.
