April 8, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Pink Moon πŸŒ•! I don’t see much sign of last night in the clouds and I’ll doubt we’ll see it tonight. Next Wednesday is Tax Day πŸ’°. I got fix something on one of my tax forms if I can get the state tax department website to work.

Not a real nice day compared to yesterday but better than the forecast for tomorrow. Clouds and 46 degrees in Delmar, NY. β˜” There is a north breeze at 5 mph. πŸƒ. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Sunday around 1 am. β˜ƒοΈ

That said the queche I made today was pretty good 🍳 although probably not the healthiest using corned beef hash β™― with lots of veggies and peppers. I’m trying to come up with more meal ideas 😍, I’m tired of the same things everyday.

Things are kind of wet and gray this morning, πŸ’¦ it rained for a while this morning and I’m not encouraged to think it’s going to be a real nice day. I have my work laptop and will just work from my bedroom today as much as I really resent bringing work into my home. That said, I’ve figured out how to build a nice set with lights and my pride flag for Zoom meetings at work πŸ‘₯. I expect a busy day today as I continue to work on the report for work – πŸ“ it’s good to start getting back into the routine of things.

I woke up this morning and felt kind of sick with a sore throat and nose πŸ‘ƒ bothering me but the magic Claradin D pill πŸ’Š helped me feel better. As did the queche. 🍳 I think it’s a mold allergy working from home but I don’t know, it seems to get worse when I’m home all day. I doubt it’s COVID 19, as I have no fever and it’s been going on going for four weeks now. That said I do look forward to things getting back to normal sooner than later. 🌈

Today will have a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy 🌦, with a high of 57 degrees at 3pm. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 12th. North wind 3 to 5 mph. At least it’s fairly mild for one more day. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 59 degrees. The record high of 88 was set in 1929. 4.5 inches of snow fell back in 1907.❄

Solar noon 🌞 is at 12:58 pm with sun having an altitude of 54.8Β° from the due south horizon (-16Β° vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 4.2 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour πŸ… starts at 6:52 pm with the sun in the west (275Β°). πŸ“Έ The sunset is in the west (281Β°) starting at 7:27 pm and lasts for 2 minutes and 57 seconds with dusk around 7:58 pm, which is one minute and 8 seconds later than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 8:33 pm. At sunset, look for partly cloudy skies πŸŒƒ and temperatures around 55 degrees. There will be a northwest breeze at 5 mph. Today will have 13 hours and 5 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 49 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy πŸŒ₯, with a low of 43 degrees at 3am. Eight degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around May 1st. Light and variable wind. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 41 degrees. The record low of 16 occurred back in 1977.

The long Easter Weekend forecast is trending nicer again. 🐰 Saturday, mostly sunny, with a high near 50. Easter, mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Typical average high for the weekend is 56 degrees. Might actually be able to get out, get some fresh air for a while away from it all. I want to get gas and a few supplies tomorrow after work for the weekend. β›½

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Earth Day 🌎 when the sun will be setting at 7:45 pm with dusk at 8:15 pm. On that day in 2019, we had partly sunny, warm and temperatures between 74 and 51 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 61 degrees. We hit a record high of 86 back in 1985.
