Good morning! Happy Clean Your Computer Day 🧹! My computer is such a mess. Next Monday is Presidents Day 👴. Rain and snow and 35 degrees in Delmar, NY. β Kind of a sloppy mix today but the roads are just wet. I did wear my black boots in and will put my dress shoes 👟 when I get to work on. There is a south breeze at 11 mph. 🍃. There is around a inch of snow on the ground. β οΈTemperatures will drop below freezing at around 10 pm. βοΈ
Ended up catching the late bus to work. 🚍 I couldn’t find my comb and I made up eggs 🍳 and generally wasn’t moving well. The earlier bus was right on time and the late bus was running late. So yeah, I’ll be clocking 🕒 late. So be it, happens only every couple of weeks. 15 minutes isn’t the end of the world and I’ll just catch the evening bus on the top of the hill.
Today will have rain and snow likely before 1pm, then a chance of rain. Cloudy 🌧, with a high of 42 degrees at 2pm. Nine degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around March 10th. South wind 7 to 11 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Mild weather continues. I wonder what this means for March? Seems like winter has been coming late these years. My metrologist friend says it might be climate change related. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 33 degrees. The record high of 53 was set in 1955. 4 inches of snow fell back in 1892.β

At sunset, look for rain 🌧 and temperatures around 39 degrees. There will be a west breeze at 7 mph. Today will have 10 hours and 20 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 35 seconds over yesterday.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy 🌥, with a low of 29 degrees at 3am. 12 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around March 24th. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 18 degrees. The record low of -18 occurred back in 1962.
Cold and sunny Saturday then cloudy and warm for Sunday. :?But still a lot of time for that to change. Monday is Presidents Day even in Trump’s America, actually only in New York because the federal government still celebrates Washington’s Birthday then New York celebrates President’s Day. Saturday, sunny, with a high near 25. Sunday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Typical average high for the weekend is 35 degrees.
🌹🌻🌼Only 38 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!🌹🌻🌼
As previously noted, next Monday is Presidents Day 👴 when the sun will be setting at 5:29 pm with dusk at 5:57 pm. On that day in 2019, we had partly cloudy, snow showers and temperatures between 31 and 17 degrees. It was kind of cold last year. Typically, the high temperature is 35 degrees. We hit a record high of 60 back in 1981.
