It’s one of those morning when you get up, thinking you got barely any sleep last night, despite sleeping nine hours, and then all you want to do is sit by the fan. This mugginess is becoming a drag. The good news is that the muggy weather has a brief intermission tomorrow around 9 pm, but will back for the weekend. 😓

When I first got going this morning, my eyes were quite irradiated, but once I got some contact solution, I’m now feeling better. 🙄 Kind of congested with a cold too. Somehow the heat has just gotten to me over the past day — it’s not been the hottest summer days, but maybe the most humid. The thermometer in my apartment read 101 degrees when I got home yesterday evening, but sometimes that reads high. 🤒 It did fall a bit once I turned on the fan, and was only about 84 degrees by morning. Today I made sure to draw the shades before leaving for work.

Last night wasn’t pleasant after I got home from the latest in the John Wolcott Interview recordings. 🌲 Interviews have progressed nicely, we’ve actually gotten to the point where we’ve covered most of everything. Been a fascinating summer. While his house, the grocery store, and my truck were nice and cool, I couldn’t say the same thing about my apartment. It was a hot and sticky night. I sat out back for a while, before retiring to bed with the fan blowing. At least I got the groceries I need, although I should pick up milk at Stewarts once I get home for dinner. 🐮

I am still a bit unsure of the weather for the Labor Day Weekend, 😎 but for now the plan is to leave for Wells/Speculator-area on Friday, then drive up to Cedar River Flow on Saturday, then camp at Moose River Plains through Monday.🏕 I don’t think I will be able to do an autumn trip up to the plains this year, so I want to do this trip this weekend. Hoping for a nice sunset either on Saturday or Sunday evening, and some good stars at the plains. I really want to camp out at one of the sands plains, I’ll take a smaller less isolated campsite if necessary.
