Good evening! Partly cloudy and 73 degrees in Albany, NY. Calm wind. The dew point is 65 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 8 am for quite warm September day.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 66 degrees at 5am. 11 degrees above normal. A very warm night for September and even a mid summer night. But reasonably humid. Maximum dew point of 65 at 10pm. Light north wind. The record low of 36 occurred back in 1962. Back when the Knickerbockers were playing back at the Twist Palace, soon to be demolished as part of the South Maul Arterial.
Tomorrow will be partly sunny, with a high of 85 degrees at 3pm. Nine degrees above normal. Hazy and hot humid weather for many kids first day of school. Maximum dew point of 68 at 4pm. Kind of yucky humidity. But with a breeze. Northeast wind 3 to 6 mph. The record high of 96 was set in 1945. The sun will rise at 6:26 am with the first light at 5:58 am, which is 1 minutes and 4 seconds later then yesterday.
Spent a bunch of time cleaning and packing this evening. I’m kind of glad to be heading out on the road again and have a chance to explore another city. The Albany routine has gotten tiresome, especially with all the now returning school traffic. Got my refrigerator cleaned up and most of my camping gear put away. Started to dig out my fall clothes.
I’m running low on maps. I have a few more made up, but soon I’ll just have to feature some old ones or fire up QGIS. There are lots of dated maps on my blog that are due for a good update. I’ll have to make some up later in the week.
Looking ahead, Last Recorded Day Above in 90 in Albany is in 1 month, Sunrise After 7 AM in Albnay is in 8 weeks, Daylight Savings Time Ends is in 2 months, Election Day is in 9 weeks and Square Dance Day is in 12 weeks. Don’t be to much of a square. That’s my final thought for September 6, 2016.
