A new week is upon us, after a rather frigid weekend. Saturday was the only half decent day of the weekend, and with the constant threat of snow, I dare not go too far from home. I did get out cross country skiing at Five Rivers for a bit.
Winter continues to drag on with frigid temperatures expected all week into the weekend. Not unusually cold for mid January but we are in mid February, by which we usually have a thaw. It’s been a long time since Albany has had a real winter. I want to give Big Red a bath but I ain’t doing that until some of the salt is off the roads. I can’t use the neighborhood car wash so I’d have to drive to Glenmont to wash the truck off. That ain’t going to work.
I was hoping to get out camping this week for a couple of nights and do some ice fishing but that isn’t going to happen unless it was about 20 degrees warmer and less snow. Oh, well.
