The Tanglewood Nature Center in Elmira is a 12,000-square-foot nature preserve with a museum featuring 43 species of live animals and nine miles of scenic trails. Visitors can enjoy hiking year-round, winter activities like snowshoe rentals, and explore the natural beauty of the Chemung Valley. The center is open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year, with the museum open Tuesday-Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm (May-October) or 9 am to 4 pm. Admission is free ΒΉ.
