The food packaging I’m not buying πŸ₯‘

Without my truck camper, without camping and the fires, I’ve spent much of the winter shopping in ways that minimizes the amount of trash I produce as it’s going to go to landfill if I don’t burn it.

While I continued to get milk in plastic jugs and cider vinegar and toss them in roadside recycling bins, I’ve very much cut many other things out of my diet like maple syrup and Greek Yogurt (as No. 5 plastics don’t really get recycled despite the symbol), bulk eggs in styrofoam. I was going to sign up for milk delivery in reusable bottles but that never really happened.

But soon enough I’ll be traveling again and having fires every few minutes, and I’ll have to consider if I want to go back to treats like Greek yogurt and maple syrup or if it’s just better from a health and finacnial perspective to skip such things permanently on an ongoing basis, both to cut down on amount of plastics I send up in smoke and fat I put on my waistline.
