Somehow I forgot my bike helmet in the office 🪖

I didn’t realize it until I was about 15 minutes from the office on the ride home, and decided fuck it, not going to get TBI tonight, I’ll get it off my desk in the morning. Don’t know how I overlooked it except that I was in a hurry to get home and beat the coming rain. I guess it rained pretty hard for a while now, the SuperDuty looks wet, but it has lightened up this morning...

Wasn’t planning on riding in today, instead taking the bus in but I have Pine Bush Dinner tonight, and I need the bike to get there. Twice yesterday the chain slipped off the bike. Got the replacement dork disk for the bike, now I’m awaiting the cassette and chain so I can change that out. Looks like the rain will hold off for a bit, otherwise I’ll put my bike on the bus. It was kind of silly to worry about not wearing a helmet one day, I am sure it’s still in my office, but I was particularly guarded riding home and will be going in today. I am sure it’s still sitting at my desk.

Going to shower and then head in. Just take the shorter route on the bike path as I lack the helmet. I don’t know how I managed to miss that on the ride home, I guess I was so focused on getting home before the rain. Didn’t rain to late but I ended up spending much of the evening in bed reading and listening to podcasts and videos before passing out around 8 PM and getting a fairly decent night sleep. Cut back on pinto beans, theyw were starting to give me an upset stomach. More carrot pancakes this morning, using up the remaining frozen fruit I had at home. Only got one cup of iced Snickerdoodle coffee yesterday in the office as every time I checked the pot it was empty.

Been trying to gurggle my mouth with baking soda, which seems to help a fair bit with the bad breath. And making sure to floss and brush well. Maybe some of it just simple ol’ sugar and cream I like in my coffee at work, or carrot particles the floss isn’t getting out fully. Still I don’t like how gross it makes my breath.
