Saturday, higher then high β›½

Even less motivation to drive anywhere today with gas prices so high. But eventually once I get my truck cap and shit wired up, it should be fun. But giggles for today. And riding my mountain bike.

Good morning, Happy Saturday. ☺️ After last nights rain, it’s slowly but surely clearing out. I actually want to ride Wally World fairly early this morning for some supplies and a trim puller for the truck, so I can continue exploring the wiring for my CB radio and other equipment. πŸ“» My pantry is fairly depleted as I only got a few supplies shopping on Monday at Hannaford on the bike ride home. I don’t think I’m going to fire up Old Smokey until Sunday, especially with gas prices so high. 🎈Maybe stop at the Schiffendecker Farm Preserve for a while, I wonder if they have the downed tree removed from the trail going over that hill.

Up pretty early this morning, πŸ₯± but the sun rises early and I needed to poop. πŸ’© So I had to fire up the old perculator and get things done. Banana 🍌 pancakes this morning, as that’s about all I had left in the pantry to make up outside of eggs and veggies. Did two eggs in the mix, definately made the pancakes much more fluffy πŸ‘. Finished off the last of pinto beans I had made up earlier int he week, kind of getting a bit tired of them at this point. 🫘 They are good, but lately I find I sometimes eat too many and it’s tough on the stomach.

Another day as $4.50 a gallon gas sits in. β›½ At least I live in the city where driving isn’t essential. I got the cassette and dork disk, still waiting on the chain for the bike πŸ”— but it should arrive today. That said, at this point I almost feel like I should just keep grinding away at the chain, and I don’t know, it’s kind of a pain to replace the chain regardless. Whatever, if it gets me place to place, it’s good. Later on this afternoon, I want to head over to the Pine Hollow Arboretum to see what trees are in bloom πŸͺ» and then I don’t know, maybe back over to Five Rivers or the Bender Mellon Preserve.

Tomorrow looks to be another nice spring day, πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ thinking I’ll start out the day tomorrow hiking the loop at Hannacroix Ravine Preserve on Wolf Hill and then hiking the loop at Kelher Preserve, looking at wildflower 🌸 and other nature signs. I want to see how the big beefy engine of Old Smokey does climbing Cass Hill, though I do wish I had more weight in the bed, to keep the tires from slipping on the hill, but soon enough I’ll have the truck cap and batteries mounted in the bed which will help with the weight distribution. Honestly, I can’t wait until I get the cap and get out traveling and camping again.
