Tenant Creek ATV Trail

This is beyond the forest preserve boundary, somewhat past the end of the official blazed Tenant Creek Trail, following a herd path. Not sure if this even is a public road, it doesn't appear on the SAM (state address management) map, but is on some topographic maps.

Snow Wheeling

I don't think those are snowmobile tracks on the snowmobile trail. The truth is there are fewer and fewer days when snowmobiling is viable locally, as the climate warms. Our season locally may have been marginal, but it's only gotten worse. Maybe riding an ATV on snowmobile trails is the future.

ATV Use on Local Roads

These signs at on almost every County and Local road on the Tug Hill Plateau (Oswego, Lewis Counties). I've seen them in downtown Altmar/Sandy Creek/Adams. Many roads have posted ATV speed limits -- 25 MPH on rural stretches, 15 MPH in town. Don't tell anybody in Albany-land, as they like to believe ATV use on roads is only for minimal crossing of roads to other trails. Then again, all kinds to stuff happens on Tug Hill Plateau, that the folks back in Albany really don't want to know about.

ATV Use Prohibited

They don't really have any ATV trails left in the Adirondacks on State Lands, due to the radical environmentalists suing, and the DEC not really doing much to defend their trails.
