Happy Weekend! Snow showers and 33 degrees in Delmar. ❄ Calm wind. The air remarkably chilly, seems like there is a lot of moisture in the air. The bus was a few minutes late. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 6 pm. β˜ƒοΈ

Well, another week has come and gone as has another month. 📆Creeping further into the future, it strikes me hard to believe in a little over a year we will seriously be talking about 2020.🎇 Tomorrow is December, but I have both the proper registration and inspection stickers on the truck now. A CD matured today, I added enough to double it then reinvested it at a higher rate. One step closer to owning land and being off grid. 🏡 Those days are a ways off, but I know with careful planning I can get there just like I did buying my truck and college education with cash. Just takes time. ⏳

I think it was a good week, a lot was accomplished during those days. 💼 One week closer to warmer days and the snow melting away, one more day closer to my future. I went for another lunch hour long walk around the plaza. I’m getting to know the ins and outs of the various hallways I can do in the plaza,to mix things on up. No lights in my office yet but I followed up with some people. I think now it will get fixed. :idea:I like my job, especially statistical analysis part of the work and seeing communication ideas become reality.

Tonight will have a slight chance of rain and snow before 7pm, then a slight chance of snow between 7pm and 8pm. Mostly cloudy 🌧, with a low of 27 degrees at 1am. Typical for tonight. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2017, we had cloudy skies with some clearing in the early hours of the next day. It got down to 31 degrees. The record low of -5 occurred back in 1875.

Tonight will have a Waning Crescent Moon 🌘 with 37% illuminated. The moon will rise at 12:41 am. The New Moon is on Thursday night with mostly cloudy skies. The Cold Moon 🌝 is in 3 weeks. The sun will rise at 7:05 am with the first light at 6:34 am, which is one minute and 4 seconds later than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 14 hours and 43 minutes of darkness, an increase of one minute and 24 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be partly sunny 🌞, with a high of 38 degrees at 2pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around December 8th. Calm wind. A year ago, we had mostly cloudy skies, clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 45 degrees. The record high of 67 was set in 1934. 3.7 inches of snow fell back in 1969.❄

Looking ahead to Sunday, rain, mainly before 1pm. 💦 High near 45. Southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Doesn’t sound like it will be super wet during the day time hours but night will rain a lot, probably killing off some of the snow in places. Typical average high for the weekend is 41 degrees.

Traffic is moving fairly well heading out of the city tonight. 🚌I’m glad, as I’m tired and looking forward to getting home. I think I’ll cook up some dinner, maybe work on some projects and retire to bed quite early.

Saturday looks quite nice, maybe a bit brisk but sunny for a change. 😎 Rain though Sunday night so I doubt I’ll head out to the wilderness for an overnight. One possibility is hiking out to Five Rivers or I might go to Schodack Island State Park and combine that trip with my weekly shop. I don’t need a lot of food and supplies but a few little things. Figure I should save gas however possible. Rainy and cloudy but fairly mild Sunday.

I was looking at the past snow accumulation maps for December 1st,❄ and this has in many parts of the state been the snowest start to the month in fifthteen years. Usually November is not nearly as white or as cold.

That said, it’s increasingly looking nice for next week. I may take a few days off, might even spend a few nights in the wilderness.🌲 It all depends on the weather and what I feel up to doing.

In four weeks on December 28 the sun will be setting at 4:29 pm,🌄 which is 6 minutes and 35 seconds later then tonight. In 2017 on that day, we had snow, mostly sunny skies and temperatures between 8 and -5 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 32 and 17 degrees. The record high of 61 degrees was set back in 1982.

Looking ahead, First Day of Winter β˜ƒοΈ is in 3 weeks, 4:30 PM Sunset 🌆 is in 4 weeks, Winnie the Pooh Day 🍯 is in 7 weeks, 5 PM Sunset 🌆 is in 8 weeks , March 🌨 is in 13 weeks, Ides of March ✝ is in 15 weeks, Memorial Day Weekend Starts 🏕️ is in 25 weeks and Dog Days of Summer 🌻 is in 31 weeks.

November 30, 2018 Morning

Good morning! Where did November go? It was washed away by all the rain and snow. Three weeks to First Day of Winter β˜ƒοΈ. Mostly cloudy and 32 degrees in Albany. ☁ Calm wind. Bare ground and a few piles of snow around. Freezing now, things will start to thaw out at around 10 am. 🌡️

A mild but gray day, heading downtown on an big long articulated bus downtown. Must be fun driving the big articulated bus down Delaware Avenue. 🚌 Running a few minutes late as the driver has to go slower with the big boat. Lots of room.

Today will have a chance of rain and snow, mainly after 3pm. Mostly cloudy 🌧, with a high of 36 degrees at 1pm. Six degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around December 14th. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. A year ago, we had mostly cloudy skies, clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 45 degrees. The record high of 67 was set in 1933. 7.1 inches of snow fell back in 1972.❄

The sun will set at 4:22 pm with dusk around 4:54 pm, which is 21 seconds earlier than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for rain 🌧 and snow 🌨 and temperatures around 35 degrees. There will be a calm wind. Today will have 9 hours and 17 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 25 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy 🌥, with a low of 27 degrees at 5am. Typical for tonight. Calm wind. In 2017, we had cloudy skies with some clearing in the early hours of the next day. It got down to 31 degrees. The record low of -5 occurred back in 1875.

I received my usual Friday text message bank balance and I panicked for a second when I saw my rent check for December hadn’t been deposited yet, but I confirmed it with the bank that it was sent. 🏡 If I don’t get notified by the end of the weekend I’ll reach out to the landlord.

Slept funny last night and woke up a bit congested 😫but I’m feeling better as the day progresses. After being out of town for work than coming back I often get sick but I don’t think I have a cold.

Last day for that online only special for the USB hub, 🔌so I should make a decision on it soon. I really don’t know. I’m hesitant to but it, I hate spending money that I don’t have to spend.

Tomorrow I’m thinking about hiking out to Five Rivers. It looks like the rain will come fairly early on Saturday night and be a cold wet rain my morning, so I don’t think I’ll head out of town. 💦 Maybe though it will eat away at the snow. I haven’t looked at next week’s forecast, I should read up more about it.

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until First Day of Winter β˜ƒοΈ when the sun will be setting at 4:24 pm with dusk at 4:56 pm. On that day in 2017, we had snow, mostly sunny skies and temperatures between 32 and 21 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 34 degrees. We hit a record high of 59 back in 1957.

November 26, 2018 Evening

Good evening! Pretty heavy and 40 degrees here in Delmar. β˜” There is a east-southeast breeze at 11 mph. 🍃. The snow locally has bit the bucket or something like that. ️Temperatures will drop below freezing at Wednesday around 4 am. β˜ƒοΈ

Dark day at office because apparently a breaker tripped or a mouse chewed through the wires for the overhead lights. 🐭 I had a light for my desk but with the rain and clouds, and early setting sun it felt like I was working in a creepy office workers office, usually sought out by obscure power brokers. I can assure my day was less exciting than that, just lots of spreadsheets and a hour long lunch break walking in the Empire Plaza. 🏃

Tonight will rain before 3am, then rain and snow likely. 🌧 Low of 35 degrees at 5am. Seven degrees above normal, which is similiar to a typical night around November 3rd. East wind 7 to 11 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. In 2017, we had cloudy skies with some clearing in the early hours of the next day. It got down to 23 degrees. The record low of 8 occurred back in 1957.

Dark commute home tonight on the expressway. It’s always so dark looking out from the lit up bus out to the very dark world outside. 🚍 Bus was a bit late which is a change with the new routing through the plaza, but maybe the driver got held up with traffic. Just drizzle at the bus stop, picked up in Delmar. Looks like their is a crash on the end of the old 787 but that’s pretty common during wet weather. At any rate we moving, and I’m not driving. I expect only to be home a few minutes later.

I’m a bit tired. 💤It wasn’t a terribly long day but it’s a five day week and it’s only Monday. I do have some more vacation time to take off before the end of the year but I want to reserve that for nice weather.

I am going to work on some soldering projects and then do some reading when I get home. 📕 Looking forward to the quiet evening. Probably too wet for the evening walk or the library.💦 But I don’t care, I got my steps in today. At six thirty, I’ll probably listen to Marketplace, as the financial news really is all I care about news wise this year. The rest is either just stupid or depressing.

It turns out that Reszin had some help earlier in the evening, and they are now paying for the folding service, 📬 so they didn’t need extra help with folding the newsletter. Once I get the PDF of the newsletter from Lynne, I’ll post it to Facebook. It’s saving postage that in 2018 Save the Pine Bush is now sending more and more of their newsletter out electronically.

Tonight will have a Waning Gibbous Moon 🌖 with 80% illuminated with the moon rising at 8:00 pm. The moon will set at 11:13 am. The Last Quarter Moon is on Wednesday night with a slight chance of snow showers. The Cold Moon 🌝 is on Friday, December 21st. The sun will rise at 7:01 am with the first light at 6:29 am, which is one minute and 9 seconds later than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 14 hours and 37 minutes of darkness, an increase of one minute and 38 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will rain and snow showers likely before 11am, then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy 🌦, with a high of 40 degrees at 1pm. Three degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around December 4th. West wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 43 degrees. The record high of 66 was set in 1896. 4.8 inches of snow fell back in 1940.❄ All I can say about tomorrow’s forecast is that it’s not going to be a big snow event here in the city. Wednesday also doesn’t look half bad for getting my truck to the dealer to get state inspected.

I’m actually quite satisfied with the current weekend forecast. Saturday, partly sunny, with a high near 41. Sunday, a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Typical average high for the weekend is 41 degrees.😺 Maybe not perfect for starting off the month of December but it’s an improvement from the weather lately. You have to take the hand delt to you from God.

In four weeks on December 24 the sun will be setting at 4:27 pm,🌄 which is 2 minutes and 12 seconds later then tonight. In 2017 on that day, we had snow, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 36 and 26 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 33 and 18 degrees. The record high of 72 degrees was set back in 2015.

November 26, 2018 Morning

Good morning! Happy Cyber Monday πŸ›οΈ! Two weeks to 7:15 AM Sunrise βŒ›οΈ. Foggy and 35 degrees in Delmar. ☁ Calm wind. At this point most of the snow is gone. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Wednesday around 5 am. β˜ƒοΈ

Walked down to the express bus stop,Β on this very foggy morning. 🚏🚌 Bus was running right on time, and the while it was a hybrid, it was fine going through the Empire Plaza Concourse bus station. I didn’t think it would fit, and they’ve have to go through Madison Avenue. Regardless, it’s much quicker this way. I’m happy with the change.Β πŸ˜ƒ It was pretty neat seeing the holiday train

Today will have a slight chance of rain and snow before 10am, then rain. I was smart and I brought my rain coat. If it’s really pouring this afternoon I’ll just catch the bus in the portico of the Capitol or the plaza. High of 42 degrees at 1pm. Two degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 29th. Light southeast wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 46 degrees. The record high of 67 was set in 1979. 9.6 inches of snow fell back in 2014.❄

The sun will set at 4:24 pm with dusk around 4:55 pm, which is 30 seconds earlier than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ At sunset, look for rain 🌧 and temperatures around 42 degrees. There will be a southeast breeze at 13 mph. Today will have 9 hours and 23 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 39 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will rain before 4am, then rain and snow likely. 🌧 Low of 36 degrees at 5am. Eight degrees above normal, which is similiar to a typical night around October 30th. East wind 7 to 14 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. In 2017, we had cloudy skies with some clearing in the early hours of the next day. It got down to 23 degrees. The record low of 8 occurred back in 1957.

The plan for today after work is to locate the screws I need to fix my laptop. I don’t think it will be a big deal, but I don’t like the idea that the mother board is not properly screwed into the case. πŸ’» I wasn’t happy to discover the missing screws when I went to open the case last night, but I think I found the problem before anything was permanently damaged. It’s certainly not the first time I’ve lost screws in my laptop.

I will look at CyberMonday sales to consider getting an SSD drive for my laptop, now that I’ve figured out how to get into there and do the upgrade. I am just so low on disk space. πŸ’Ύ I don’t know how space ran out so quickly on my laptop but it did. The speed boost will be nice. But for now I’ll just delete files. Also looking at a few random small electronic components from AliExpress like more perfboard, LOLIN microprocessors, and some other things to get me through the winter with my electronics projects. Most of the stuff I need I already have, so it’s just a matter of me getting out my soldering iron and doing some soldering and writing code.⌨

This evening, I am going to help stuff the newsletter for Save the Pine Bush, πŸ“° and get that ready to go out in the mail. As I expect a fairly wet evening, β˜” I don’t think I will go down to the library or for a walk, but I have some different projects I can work on at home. Nothing too major, just a lot of things that could be done and should be done. Ironically, based on the current forecast, I doubt I’ll need to turn on the electric baseboard heat anytime soon, now that it’s been all cleaned up. I was in my closet yesterday, and was thinking that’s really the next thing I should tackle. It’s not terrible, but it’s a bit disorganized. πŸ‘”

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until 7:15 AM Sunrise βŒ›οΈ when the sun will be setting at 4:21 pm with dusk at 4:53 pm. On that day in 2017, we had snow, patches of fog, mist, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 36 and 18 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 38 degrees. We hit a record high of 64 back in 1966.

Looking Back

November 25, 2018 Night

Good evening! Foggy and 34 degrees in Delmar. 🌁 The fog is mostly above the ground, noticeable but didn’t really impact my drive home. Calm wind. There is a inch of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 1 am. β˜ƒοΈ

Tonight will have patchy fog before 1am, then patchy fog after 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy 🌁, with a low of 32 degrees at 2am. Three degrees above normal, which is similiar to a typical night around November 16th. Calm wind. In 2017, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 35 degrees. The record low of -11 occurred back in 1938.

I got working on a soldering project and ended up missing my evening walk. Too bad, despite the fog, it seems like a pretty decent evening. 😑 I also took my laptop apart so when I decide to go for the ssd hard drive expansion I should be able to do it. I was concerned it might be difficult to disassemble the laptop without the plastic snaps but that turned out not to be an issue. A bigger problem is that I discovered that the laptop is missing screws and the ones I have around won’t fix, so I am going to have to order them.

Tonight will have a Waning Gibbous Moon 🌖 with 89% illuminated. The moon will set at 10:21 am. The Last Quarter Moon is on Wednesday night with mostly cloudy skies. The Cold Moon 🌝 is on Friday, December 21st. The sun will rise at 6:59 am with the first light at 6:28 am, which is one minute and 9 seconds later than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 14 hours and 35 minutes of darkness, an increase of one minute and 41 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a slight chance of rain and snow before 10am, then rain. Patchy fog before 9am. 🌧 High of 42 degrees at 3pm. Two degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around November 29th. Southeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies with more clouds in the afternoon. The high last year was 46 degrees. The record high of 67 was set in 1979. 9.6 inches of snow fell back in 2014.❄

Doesn’t look like it will be wet to start out the day, β˜” but I’m going to want my rain coat for later. I may swing by Resins house later on to help with folding the newsletter 📬 and getting that ready to mail.

It looks so nice and clean now that I cleaned up and organized by the heaters and cleaned off my desk and dressers. 🐷 Too warm for the electric heat but when it gets cold again I should be able to turn it on without worrying. Next thing I should tackle is the closet as I noticed that has become increasingly disorganized. 👕

Right now, a split verdict on the weekend. πŸ˜• Saturday, partly sunny, with a high near 38. Sunday, a chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Typical average high for the weekend is 41 degrees. I might head north on Saturday or somewhere else, but I am a bit concerned about the risk of ice up north on Sunday.

In four weeks on December 23 the sun will be setting at 4:26 pm,🌄 which is one minute and 6 seconds later then tonight. In 2017 on that day, we had freezing rain, cloudy skies and temperatures between 36 and 25 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 33 and 19 degrees. The record high of 64 degrees was set back in 1990.

Looking ahead, First Sunday of Advent ✝️ is in 1 weeks, Earliest Sunset of the Year βŒ›οΈ is in 2 weeks, Festivus 🍖 is in 4 weeks, Christmas Eve 🌲 is a month away, Christmas 🎅 is a month away, 5 PM Sunset 🌆 is in 2 months, Daylight Savings Time 🌆 is in 15 weeks, St. Patrick’s Day 🍀 is in 16 weeks, 7:30 PM Sunset 🌇 is in 19 weeks, Palm Sunday 🌴 is in 20 weeks, Easter 🐰 is in 21 weeks, Cinco de Mayo 🤠 is in 23 weeks, Mothers Day 👩‍ is in 24 weeks and Fathers Day 👨 is in 29 weeks.

I better get some sleep as a busy day is ahead of me tomorrow. 👔

Edge of the Field

November 20, 2018 Morning

Good morning! Happy Tuesday. Five weeks to Christmas 🎅. Wet sloppy snow, one degree above freezing in our favorite socialist Delmar. ❄ There is a north-northwest breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. There is a dusting of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️Frosty is having a melt down with the warmer temperatures. At least the roads aren’t super shitty this morning but every driveway is a slushy wet mess. It’s climate change, stupid. And I’m blaming Trump.

Today will rain showers and snow likely before 11am, then a chance of rain showers between 11am and 4pm. Cloudy 🌦, with a high of 39 degrees at 1pm. Seven degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around December 6th. Northwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Yuck. When we will get nice weather? Maybe in six months with the hundreds of black flies. A year ago, we had light snow in the morning, remaining cloudy in the afternoon. The high last year was 42 degrees. The record high of 72 was set in 1991. 3.4 inches of snow fell back in 1961.❄

Yeap, today is a pretty cold, wet and gray day. ☁ Only going to get worse come Thanksgiving although we will have lots of sun come those days. But very cold. At least the roads are fine locally.

The sun will set at 4:28 pm with dusk around 4:59 pm, which is 43 seconds earlier than yesterday. Not even losing a minute at this point. 🌇 Remember the latest sunset of the year is around December 9th I believe. At sunset, look for mostly cloudy skies ☁ and temperatures around 38 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 6 mph. Melty, melt snow. Today will have 9 hours and 34 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 56 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy 🌤, with a low of 24 degrees at 6am. Six degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical night around December 8th. West wind 6 to 9 mph. Shits going to freeze up tonight. In 2017, we had cloudy skies, clearing in the early hours of the next day. It got down to 33 degrees. The record low of 7 occurred back in 1879.

This morning I want to call about getting my truck state inspected on Saturday or maybe Friday morning. I figure I would drop it off and then get breakfast with my parents. 🍳 That’s all that is needed for now, I did the oil change and tire rotation in a September. It’s horse shit that New York requires inspections when relatively few states do anymore. Smog inspections yes in smog areas but safety inspections are rare because modern cars are rarely unsafe βœ” and things like broken tail lights are generally enforced by police.

I need to go to the store after work today, 🍞and buy a handful of supplies before the big rush of Thanksgiving grocery shoppers and Black Friday shoppers are underway. Not a lot of things I need but I’m missing certain ingredients that I need for cooking. I don’t plan to shop again until next week as I’m trying to use whatever I have at home right now to save money.

Today I’m going to look at getting a 12 volt power supply for the smart light over my bed that I’m building. I’m going to get a good quality power supply that is UL or Intertek certified because if it’s going to be plugged in all of the time I want something safe that’s unlikely to cause a fire, waste power or fail. 🔌 It’s really not that much more expensive to buy a safe model compared to a cheap one.

I’m also continuing to experiment with Bluetooth and the Arduino Nano. I’ve built a working model now at least I think, I just need to download the software I need for my laptop and phone to control it. 📺 Once I do that I will work on the code and eventually building the board that will control the lamp over my bed. I don’t expect it to be complicated, it will basically be a slave to the other LED strip across the room, and just be able to accept Bluetooth commands to turn on and off (with a nice fade or course) and dim to a certain value. As it’s a warm white, it is only one channel so the PWM commands are simple. The colored led strips across the room will manage timing and reading the remote, sending over Bluetooth to turn on and off.

Looking ahead, there are 5 weeks until Christmas 🎅 when the sun will be setting at 4:27 pm with dusk at 4:59 pm. Fat man comes down the chimney and leaves all that pretty wrapping paper to burn. On that day in 2017, we had snow, heavy fog, freezing fog, mist, squalls, partly cloudy skies and temperatures between 33 and 17 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 33 degrees. We hit a record high of 66 back in 1889. Well before my time.

Peak and Tree

November 16, 2018 Morning

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Snowy Friday! First of the winter. Next Friday is Buy Nothing Day 🛍️. Still snowing fairly hard this morning and 29 degrees in Delmar. ❄ There is a north-northwest breeze at 11 mph. 🍃. I’m blaming Trump, it never used to snow in November that much, well in recent years, until the prince of darkness was selected to run our country as a better choice to the alternative. Things will start to thaw out at around 10 am. 🌡️

Today snow then turn to rain before 1pm, then a slight chance of rain showers after 4pm. Mostly cloudy 🌧, with a high of 38 degrees at 1pm. 10 degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around December 8th. Now you know. North wind 5 to 11 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible but the rain that should be starting soon will wash it away into a globby mix of slush for opening day of deer season. A year ago, we had cloudy skies with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 53 degrees. The record high of 71 was set in 2006. Not this one bro. 3.4 inches of snow fell back in 2002.❄

The sun will set at 4:31 pm with dusk around 5:01 pm, which is 51 seconds earlier than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for rain showers 🌧 and temperatures around 37 degrees. There will be a west breeze at 5 mph. Today will have 9 hours and 42 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 5 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy 🌥, with a low of 31 degrees at 12am. Typical for tonight. West wind around 8 mph. Things will freeze back up late. In 2017, we had mostly cloudy skies. It got down to 25 degrees. The record low of 7 occurred back in 1972.

With all the talk of the snow, I didn’t think it was a bad commute although the sidewalks where kind of icy last night. ❄ Roads are mostly just wet snow, slush earlier. I guess the snow is kind of pretty and I’m not sure how long it will last as it will be in the forties on Saturday and several sunny days heading into the Thanksgiving weekend. I like snow but I’m not ready for it in November. I’ll take snow from December 15 – January 1st but after then it’s a bit annoying to say the least.

This evening I have to dig out Big Red and clear off the solar panel with a broom. It’s not a lot of snow and it’s not that icy so I don’t expect it to be a big deal. 🚗 Winter comes and goes. I’m fine with that. If I think I will be in town next weekend I might get my truck inspected then.

As previously noted, next Friday is Buy Nothing Day 🛍️ when the sun will be setting at 4:26 pm with dusk at 4:57 pm. Hopefully we will have nice weather for the long weekend, I wouldn’t mind doing some snow camping and or traveling. On that day in 2017, we had mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 37 and 27 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 45 degrees. We hit a record high of 72 back in 1931.
