Before Corridor "H" if you wanted to go from Bismark to Scheer, you had to descend this steep, windy hill on West Virginia Route 93. This road had been improved, in the sense that it's smooth and wide, but it was still quite steep and windy -- for a major route driven by coal-hauling trucks. Corridor "H" changed that totally.
First day camping at Charles Baker State Forest. It was a nice day, but a long one, just busy with a lot of remote work. Looking forward to paddling Nine Mile Swamp tomorrow and riding trail on Sunday at Charles Baker. I really like this Lost Ponds campsite!
I've never owned or shot a muzzleloader, never got my tag. But I know a lot of real old timers and conservationist types love the whole muzzleloading scene after regular rifle season gets done.
Just a quick weekend trip to the nearby state forest.
Now a brief break with some Tom Paxton on this beautiful but cold late November evening.
Leaving West Virigina on a autumn morning, heading up to Keyser and then Paw Paw to explore for the day's adventure. A nice morning.
