It's the second half of November as the label job I ran today reminds me. π·οΈ The landscape is cold and barren, it's dark out for a good portion of day, and riding home in the dark isn't much fun. But you make the best of it, and I figure the extra sleep and time to learn isn't a bad thing. π Next adventure after Thanksgiving! π¦ Hopefully the fire risk is down by then as I want to have a big bonfire in wilderness π₯ after a good day riding trail or hiking. πΆ
Take Wolf Lake Landing Road to the Wolf Lake Landing Parking area. Carry your boatd 1/4 mile to the lake. Wolf Lake was merged with Woodhull Lake when the reservior was formed. There is a lean-to, outhouse, and a good place to launch a hand-carried boat. AT the southern-most portion of the lake there is a a dam that holds back the lake. Part of the lake is lightly developed with cabins along the shoreline.
44.22080561052468,-74.30630484336764 Stoney Creek Pond is located south of NY 3 on Corey's Road. It can be accessed by the 1/2 mile Indian Carry from NY 3 (Tupper Lake Highway) or a shorter 1/10 mile Stony Creek Pond Carry.
The Big Bay of Piseco Lake is accessed via a small parking area along Piseco Outlet and crossing the road to put in. Most of land immediately along NY 10 is privately owned.
