October and already the leaves are fading away in the Adirondacks. πŸ‚ Most shocking to me is that we are less then a month away from November, which in many ways should be a sigh of relief with the craziness of work and with the deep blue skies and crisp days of that month.

Hammock Bug Net

I don't love being under the bug net as it can be hot and claustrophobic but it sometimes beats getting eaten alive.

Along The Adirondack Scenic Railroad Tracks

On Tuesday night, I walked along the Adirondack Scenic Railroad Tracks, which get little use since last year's wash out by Rollins Pond. The tracks were quiet, as they wandered through the wilderness. I saw a black bear and cubs, and not being sure if I locked up my truck fully, I headed back to camp after walking out about 20 minutes on the tracks.

Great Place to Work at the Library

During the panademic I mostly worked from my truck cap, using the solar power for electricity as I didn't neccessarily want to be sitting at the table around other people or where they had recently been during the panademic. But it was a fun time up here, even if it was busy remote working from the Speculator Library.
