October and already the leaves are fading away in the Adirondacks. πŸ‚ Most shocking to me is that we are less then a month away from November, which in many ways should be a sigh of relief with the craziness of work and with the deep blue skies and crisp days of that month.

Choppy Waters

Looking North towards Stratton Mountain. Didn't put it, not because the waves -- although that would be a consideration -- but because a lack of a time. There where a lot of boaters, including kayakers out on the water. This vast hydroelectric reservoir is a very popular place to paddle around in and fish.

Bog River Falls

The Bog River Falls is not a mighty drop, but it's a popular place for people, myself included, to stop for lunch and take in the scenery. On a hot day, it's probably also a nice place to cool off.

Campsite at Duck Pond

It doesn't look like anyone has camped up here in a couple of weeks, although you could see the stakes where people had horses tied down, and some of the remaining horse manure.

Canoe Carry Sign on the Mud River

The rapids are right below here. Rapids is a bit of an exaggeration, more like faster moving water and a bit of a drop, but not recommended to run a canoe over.
