December 3, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Thursday. Next Thursday is 7:15 AM Sunrise โŒ›๏ธ. Mostly sunny and dirty three degrees in Delmar, NY. ๐ŸŒ… There is a south breeze at 5 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Cold start to the morning but it’s warming up quickly.

I am enjoying the sun โ˜€ as I go for my morning walk. I am enjoying the sun and it’s a pretty pleasant day for early December. It was chilly this morning when I first awoke this morning although that’s because I turned the heat way down before bed ๐Ÿ›. I had turned it up after getting home from working down at the library as I was kind of chilled through.

In three weeks my yearly prepaid phone expires, ๐Ÿ“ถ and I’ll go month to month with the unlimited data plan and probably 20 gb of hot spot data each month through March at least when it warms up again. ๐ŸŒธ While I can do a lot on my phone, some remote work tasks are best done on the computer. ๐Ÿ’ป The cost is balanced out by not having a bus fare to pay. ๐Ÿš I do miss working in the office and walking down to the library though.

Today will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 46 degrees at 2pm. Five degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 21st. South wind 5 to 10 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 32 degrees. The record high of 63 was set in 2009. 5.2 inches of snow fell back in 1893.โ„

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 11:46 am with sun having an altitude of 25.2ยฐ from the due south horizon (-45.6ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 12.7 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 3:39 pm with the sun in the southwest (232ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (240ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:24 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 21 seconds with dusk around 4:54 pm, which is 14 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:30 pm. At sunset, look for mostly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 44 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 7 mph. Tomorrow will have 9 hours and 12 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 13 seconds over today.

Today at lunch time ๐Ÿฅช I am going to wash my truck ๐Ÿšš and get some groceries then work at the library parking lot ๐Ÿ…ฟ for a few hours. That way the heater on my truck will be warm plus the solar gain โ˜€ through the windshield. Should be a nice day and I’ll make sure to bring my binoculars so I can watch the birds ๐Ÿฆ.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฅ, with a low of 32 degrees at 1am. Six degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around November 16th. South wind around 7 mph. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 19 degrees. The record low of -9 occurred back in 1940.

I do not approve of this weekend, although Sunday will be okay. ๐Ÿ˜• Saturday, a chance of rain and snow before 7am, then a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Light north wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. Sunday, partly sunny, with a high near 35. Typical average high for the weekend is 40 degrees.

This is the last weekend of regular deer season ๐ŸฆŒ so I’m thinking that maybe next weekend if the weather is decent and not too snowy I’ll get out of town for a few days. โ›บ I’d rather be in the woods when it’s quiet out there except for the black powder guys. ๐ŸŒฒ

As previously noted, next Thursday is 7:15 AM Sunrise โŒ›๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 4:22 pm with dusk at 4:53 pm. On that day in 2019, we had rain showers, mostly cloudy, mild and temperatures between 52 and 35 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 38 degrees. We hit a record high of 64 back in 1966.

December 1, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy December ๐ŸŽ„! Can you believe it’s already December? I certainly can’t. Two weeks to Bill of Rights Day ๐Ÿ“œ. Pouring rain and 54 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜” There is a south breeze at 11 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 49 degrees. Temperatures will drop below freezing at tomorrow around 4 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

I was up early enough ๐ŸŒ„ to get out for my walk but it was pouring rain at eight o’clock. So I canned my walk. Hopefully I’ll get out for my evening walk. ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป I might also walk down to the library if it’s warm enough to walk down there. Work schedule is quiet ๐Ÿ•’ but I’m sure there will be projects later.

Today will have a chance of showers, mainly after noon. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Mostly cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 44 by 5pm. South wind 11 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 28 degrees. The record high of 67 was set in 1934. 3.7 inches of snow fell back in 1969.โ„

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 11:46 am with sun having an altitude of 25.5ยฐ from the due south horizon (-45.3ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 12.6 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The sun is weak and low now, assuming that the rain and clouds part. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 3:40 pm with the sun in the southwest (233ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (241ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:24 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 21 seconds with dusk around 4:54 pm, which is 19 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:31 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and temperatures around 46 degrees. Breezy, 16 mph breeze โ›… from the south. Today will have 9 hours and 16 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 23 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a slight chance of showers before 9pm. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 32 degrees at 5am. Five degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around November 16th. South wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2019, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became light drizzle by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 27 degrees. The record low of -2 occurred back in 1875.

I am in some ways glad that 2020 is winding down. โณ For me it was a pretty good year, certainly odd but I had a lot of fun with remote work. ๐Ÿ’ป Snow is holding off so maybe I can get in a few more camping trips in before the end of the year. โ›บ I don’t mind the snow but when the snow banks are high it’s hard to find anywhere to park. ๐Ÿ…ฟ Plus all the neat places on the dirt roads are closed come winter. โ„ But April will be back in 2021 and things are likely to be less odd then. I’m hopeful that the vaccine will be successful and I can eventually start working downtown again. ๐Ÿš

Still not a great weekend on tap. ๐Ÿ˜• Saturday, partly sunny, with a high near 42. Sunday, a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Typical average high for the weekend is 40 degrees.

This will be a stay at home ๐Ÿก weekend, like many others when I’ll probably walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป out to Five Rivers ๐Ÿฆ for watching the birds and wildlife. Not much snow lately but it might be muddy there. The alternative would be to drive to Rennselear and Schodack Island and then stock up on groceries at Aldi’s. Haven’t made a trip there in a while. Staying home saves money which is good as I’ve had a lot of bills lately. Money ๐Ÿ’ต is tight and I have a quarterly tax payment due December 15th.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Bill of Rights Day ๐Ÿ“œ when the sun will be setting at 4:22 pm with dusk at 4:54 pm. On that day in 2019, we had partly cloudy, snow showers and temperatures between 44 and 28 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 36 degrees. We hit a record high of 61 back in 2015.

November 20, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Next Friday is Buy Nothing Day ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. HASH TAG waste your money on stupid plastic stuff. ๐Ÿ’ธโ†”๏ธ๐Ÿ—‘ Clouds with some clearing and 44 degrees in Delmar, NY. ๐ŸŒฅ There is a south breeze at 9 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The current wind chill is 30. Temperatures will drop below freezing at Sunday around 1 am. โ˜ƒ๏ธ

Going one of the most pleasant Fridays in recent weeks. โ›… Lots of sun and mild. It’s good, the past few days have been cool and I’ve had the heat on, especially working from home. But today it will be off and maybe crack open a window or two for fresh air.

Took the first shower ๐Ÿšฟ since Sunday. Working from home I don’t find the need to bathe ๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿป nearly as regularly as I’m not getting dirty and nobody cares if you are unshaved or smelly when you are social distancing. ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿป Plus it saves a lot of wash ๐Ÿ‘š and water ๐Ÿ’ฆ to wear the same clothes for multiple days.

A few rain drops ๐Ÿ’ง as I go for my morning walk. ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป But it’s reasonably warm to be walking for late November in a t-shirt ๐Ÿ‘• with my vest over it. The air has a slight tang of barnyard and manure on it ๐Ÿฎ, but it’s November in Upstate NY. The sun โ˜€ certainly feels nice but at 10 or 15 degrees from the horizon it can only put out so much warmth.

Today will be partly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 55 degrees at 2pm. Nine degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around October 29th. South wind 9 to 13 mph. A year ago, we had light snow in the morning, which became light drizzle by afternoon. The high last year was 37 degrees. The record high of 72 was set in 1991. 3.4 inches of snow fell back in 1961.โ„

I have a virtual meeting this afternoon ๐Ÿ“น which I’ll probably just walk down to the library or town park to do. I also want to download some of that MIT Election Lab data so I can play โ–ถ with that during down time this weekend. ๐Ÿ“š I also should look at getting some books out of the library to read in the evening and maybe work on some electronics projects now that the long winter is upon us. Nothing like breathing in some fumes from lead solder in one’s bedroom. ๐Ÿ”ฌ Says the boy ๐Ÿง’๐Ÿป whose burned his share of plastics over the years. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 11:42 am with sun having an altitude of 27.6ยฐ from the due south horizon (-43.3ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 11.5 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 3:47 pm with the sun in the southwest (236ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (244ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:30 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 14 seconds with dusk around 4:59 pm, which is 44 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the First Quarter ๐ŸŒ“ Moon in the south (180ยฐ) at an altitude of 27ยฐ from the horizon, 240,016 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:35 pm. At sunset, look for partly clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 54 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 9 mph. Tomorrow will have 9 hours and 32 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 54 seconds over today.

I am glad my state inspection ๐Ÿš˜ ๐Ÿ” is done and the new registration is on my truck. I always worry about it a lot, especially now that my tires are getting worn down. I drove only 6,700 miles since last year according to the odometer although that’s off by 13% due to the 35 inch tires. This year I didn’t go to Western NY or Pennsylvania and generally have been doing more social distancing so fewer trips to the store ๐Ÿฌ but more to the library for remote work. Plus with the solar panel and the two accessory batteries ๐Ÿ”‹ on my truck, I would generally set up camp and remain parked ๐Ÿ…ฟ for multiple days.

Tonight will be partly cloudy ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 39 degrees at 4am. Nine degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 18th. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west after midnight. In 2019, we had clear skies in the evening, which became cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 26 degrees. The record low of 7 occurred back in 1879.

Tomorrow will be partly sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 49 degrees at 12pm. Three degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 14th. Northwest wind 6 to 14 mph. A year ago, we had light snow in the morning, which became light drizzle by afternoon. The high last year was 47 degrees. The record high of 70 was set in 1931. 0.8 inches of snow fell back in 1937.โ„

Cool but hopefully sunny and warm enough for a pleasant walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป to Five Rivers ๐Ÿฆ. Those blue birds were pretty that I saw there the other week. I am not expecting a ton of sun but I like the exercise. You never know what wildlife you will see while up there. ๐Ÿฆ‰

Looking ahead to Sunday, a chance of rain after 1pm. โ˜” Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. โ˜๏ธ Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Typical average high for the weekend is 46 degrees.

I’ll probably go out to the folks house on Sunday. ๐Ÿฒ No big plans for Sunday, it might play with some of that Election Geodata I found on the MIT Election Lab ๐Ÿ”ฌ that I found the other night. Working from home ๐Ÿก means less commuting time and sometimes downtime at work and no library to walk to weeknights or the weekend so I’ll have to figure new ways to keep busy during the long winter nights.

As previously noted, next Friday is Buy Nothing Day ๐Ÿ›๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 4:24 pm with dusk at 4:55 pm. On that day in 2019, we had partly sunny skies, rain showers and temperatures between 57 and 31 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 43 degrees. We hit a record high of 66 back in 1896.

I am hoping next weekend to get up to the Adirondacks โ›ฐ โ„ to do some hot tenting โ›บ and hiking during the three day weekend. That said, not sure about the long range forecast. Might be kind of rainy. I’ll have to drive back Sunday as I don’t want to drive back in the dark from the Adirondacks. Some years the snow and ice hold off until January and I can do trips until the end of the year. Based on the amount of junk mail โœ‰ I got yesterday, the mailman is rooting for me to go it next weekend – certainly will have plenty of paper to start fires with. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

November 15, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Sunday. โ›ช America Recycles Day. โ™ป Three weeks to First Sunday of Advent โœ๏ธ. Mostly cloudy and 28 degrees in Delmar, NY. โ˜ There is a south-southeast breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Things will start to thaw out at around 9 am. ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

Colder than I expected last night, โ„ I woke up in the middle of the night and decided that I should turn up the heat as it was frigid in bed. Ended up waking up in the middle of the night ๐ŸŒƒ and staying awake for a few hours before falling asleep for a few more hours.

Yesterday was another kind of boring day ๐Ÿ˜ด and I walked out to Five Rivers ๐Ÿฆ for a few hours. The bluebirds I saw along the lake were quite beautiful. It was a nice walk but by the time I got home, listened to the news ๐Ÿ“ฐ and had dinner I ended up putting some podcasts on and retiring for the day.

Today will have showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 49 degrees at 5pm. One degree above normal, which is similar to a typical day around November 14th. South wind 7 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 50 degrees. The record high of 74 was set in 1993. 4.8 inches of snow fell back in 1906.โ„

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 11:41 am with sun having an altitude of 28.8ยฐ from the due south horizon (-42.1ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 10.9 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 3:51 pm with the sun in the west-southwest (238ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (245ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:34 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 12 seconds with dusk around 5:02 pm, which is 54 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At dusk you’ll see the Waxing Crescent ๐ŸŒ’ Moon in the west-southwest (243ยฐ) at an altitude of 1ยฐ from the horizon, 227,803 miles away. ๐Ÿš€ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:38 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and temperatures around 48 degrees. Breezy, 16 mph breeze โ›… from the south-southeast with gusts up to 30mph. Today will have 9 hours and 44 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 8 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have showers and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 1am. ๐ŸŒง Low of 41 degrees at 6am. Seven degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 18th. South wind 10 to 16 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. In 2019, we had light snow in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 20 degrees. The record low of 7 occurred back in 1972.

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until First Sunday of Advent โœ๏ธ when the sun will be setting at 4:22 pm with dusk at 4:53 pm. On that day in 2019, we had snow showers, cloudy and temperatures between 34 and 26 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 39 degrees. We hit a record high of 68 back in 2001.

November 7, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Finally the weekend in Biden’s America! Just biding my time this morning, watching the sun rise โ˜€, next to the heater on this quite mild November morning. While it’s not over until the fat ladies in the electoral college sing ๐ŸŽถ, hopefully with masks ๐Ÿ˜ท on, it seems likely to it will be Biden this time. Two weeks to Regular Deer Season in Southern Zone ๐ŸฆŒ. Late this year as Sunday was November 1st. Mostly sunny and 38 degrees at the Stoney Pond State Forest. There is a west-southwest breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ.

Going to be a beautiful day โ˜• as witnessed by the dawn and the sunrise ๐ŸŒ…. Quiet in the woods except for some birds ๐Ÿฆ and the rumble on the distant four lanes of US 20. Looking forward to hiking around Chittenango State Park and maybe some of the Link Trail outside of Fenner. ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป Then get back to camp โ›บ before another long and dark night. But at least it’s not particularly cold.

Today will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 69 degrees at 2pm. 18 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around September 24th. Maximum dew point of 47 at 10am. West wind 7 to 9 mph. A year ago, we had cloudy skies in the morning with more sun in the afternoon. The high last year was 46 degrees. The record high of 75 was set in 1938. 4.5 inches of snow fell back in 1886.โ„

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 11:47 am with sun having an altitude of 30.7ยฐ from the due south horizon (-39.8ยฐ vs. 6/21). It’s amazing how low the noon day sky these days is. A six foot person will cast a 10.1 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 4:07 pm with the sun in the west-southwest (241ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-southwest (248ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 4:49 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 8 seconds with dusk around 5:17 pm, which is one minute and 10 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:52 pm. At sunset, look for clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 67 degrees. There will be a west breeze at 7 mph. Today will have 10 hours and one minute of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 27 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 46 degrees at 6am. 12 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around September 29th. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Raining Morning On LaGrange Road

November 5, 2020 Night

Good evening! Partly cloudy and 51 degrees at the Stoney Pond. ๐ŸŒŒ There is a south-southwest breeze at 9 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 42 degrees.

A nice evening quite mild ๐Ÿ for November out here in Madison County. ๐Ÿฎ Quite mild but the leaves are all gone and the nights are quite long at this point. It was a nice drive out here but kind of a long trip because I had to stop ๐Ÿ›‘ for remote work ๐Ÿ’ป calls ๐Ÿ“ž and meetings. Plus I also got food ๐Ÿฒ at the Hannaford in Esperance – I was a bit creeped out by the clerk touching my shopping bags ๐Ÿ› and my ID. I’m just so used to people so aggressively social distancing in the Albany area and not wanting to touch others property. I mean the check out lady ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ was very friendly in the small town kind of way.

I did enjoy the drive out here along US 20 and the rural countryside. ๐Ÿšœ Still farmers bringing in the high moisture corn ๐ŸŒฝ but the land is very gray with lots of browns. Not much has changed along the road in recent weeks, the homes are still old and ramshackle ๐Ÿš๏ธ, people doing the best they can to make a living off the land. The fields are being fertilized, the air has that pungent but essential smell ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿป of dairy country ๐Ÿ„ in the autumn months. I hope to eventually live in such deep rural areas but where there aren’t so many restrictions on guns ๐Ÿ”ซ and having a burning barrel ๐Ÿ›ข and bonfires ๐Ÿ”ฅ. I just want to own land out in the country where everybody leaves you alone. I love rundown houses with piles of manure, broke down tractors, goats ๐Ÿ tied out front and of course a burn barrel out back.

I was actually surprised how few big TRUMP signs I saw along the way. ๐ŸšฉWhile I did see some Trump flags and signs, I’ve certainly seen more over the top displays on the back roads of the Adirondacks or Pennsylvania. At one level, I do get the appeal of the president – some of those urban laws and policies do come down hard on farm families and country boys who are trying to scrape a living from the dirt. ๐Ÿšœ

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, then becoming mostly clear toward daybreak ๐ŸŒฅ, with a low of 45 degrees at 5am. Still can see some stars โœจ but I wouldn’t call it a really clear night. But definitely mild. 11 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 2nd. Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph. In 2019, we had light rain. It got down to 30 degrees. The record low of 15 occurred back in 1951.

I had a nice big fire tonight ๐Ÿ”ฅ as I was fortunate somebody else had left a pile of wood at their campsite. Thats good because after reassembling the camp lantern ๐Ÿฎ it didn’t work. Had a couple of beers ๐Ÿป and a big pot of macaroni and cheese ๐Ÿง€ with diced tomatoes ๐Ÿ… and topped with bread crumbs. A fitting meal ๐Ÿด for a long winter night. โ˜• Also had some coca and chocolate ๐Ÿซ candy I bought on sale after Halloween ๐Ÿฆ‡.

I sat and listened to the radio ๐Ÿ“ป coverage of the presidential election. No real big news ๐Ÿ“ฐ right now but I seems like Joe Biden is pulling ahead. I’m not a big fan of Joe Biden – I voted for the libertarian Jo Jergenson ๐Ÿ—ฝ but I do ultimately think ๐Ÿค” Biden would be far more professional than Trump but I hope congress keeps him on a short leash. ๐Ÿถ I think every president should be impeached from time to time to keep them accountable and honest. โš–

Tonight will have a Waining Gibbous ๐ŸŒ– Moon with 74% illuminated. The Beaver ๐Ÿป Moon is on Saturday, November 21. The darkest hour is at 11:47 pm, followed by dawn at 6:14 am, and sun starting to rise at 6:44 am in the east-southeast (111ยฐ) and last for 3 minutes and 7 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 16 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 7:25 am with sun in the east-southeast (118ยฐ). Tonight will have 13 hours and 54 minutes of darkness, an increase of 2 minutes and 29 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 64 degrees at 1pm. 12 degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around October 6th. Maximum dew point of 47 at 1pm. West wind 5 to 8 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, which became partly cloudy by afternoon. The high last year was 49 degrees. The record high of 73 was set in 2015. 3.2 inches of snow fell back in 1933.โ„

Going to be an absolutely beautiful day tomorrow. โ˜บ All weekend should be nice. I’m going to work from Cazenovia library ๐Ÿ“š and then spend some time down by the lake. ๐Ÿž Saturday and Sunday will be much more relaxed and I’ll head home before dark on Sunday which happens early this time of year.

In four weeks on December 3 the sun will be setting in the west-southwest (240ยฐ) at 4:29 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 20 minutes and 42 seconds earlier then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had partly cloudy, snow showers and temperatures between 32 and 22 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 41 and 26 degrees. The record high of 63 degrees was set back in 2009.

Looking ahead, Thanksgiving ๐Ÿฆƒ is in 3 weeks, Repeal of Prohibition Day ๐Ÿบ is a month away, 7:15 AM Sunrise โŒ›๏ธ is in 5 weeks, Christmas Eve ๐ŸŽ… is in 7 weeks, New Years Eve ๐ŸŽ† is in 8 weeks, National Bird Day ๐Ÿง is in 2 months, Coldest Week of the Year ๐ŸŒฌ is in 10 weeks, Wolf Moon ๐ŸŒ• is in 12 weeks, Don’t Cry over Spilled Milk Day ๐Ÿฅ› is in 14 weeks and National Drink Wine Day ๐Ÿท is in 15 weeks.

Good morning! Happy Saturday. Early Voting Starts today! ๐Ÿ—ณ Voting is important but I’m not going to wait for hours, โณ catch Next Saturday is Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ and the Blue Moon ๐Ÿ‘ป ๐ŸŒ•๐Ÿฆ‡.
