November 21, 2016 Morning
Good morning! Monday’s come back around again on this frigid morning. Cloudy and 31 degrees in Delmar. There is a west-northwest breeze at 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Cold morning. The current wind chill is 20. Brr. Some of the untreated surfaces like sidewalks and driveways may be slick. The skies will clear tomorrow around 4 pm but continued cold.
Today will continue to have a chance of snow showers, mainly before 3pm. Very cold. Cloudy, with a high of 35 degrees at 12pm. 10 degrees below normal. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 23 to 28 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 48 mph. Windchills in the 20s. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Last year, partly cloudy with a high around 48. The record high of 70 was set in 1931. There was 0.8 inches of snow back in 1937. We won’t break that record in Albany today most likely but who knows, we’ve already gotten a half inch. The mountains and hills around have gotten much more snow.
