May 4, 2019 Night

Good evening! Cloudy and 60 degrees in Delmar. ☁ Calm wind. The dew point is 52 degrees. The skies will clear Monday around 1 am.

Things got messed up today.😣 After riding the exercise bike for a while I was doing some work putting in the proper transistor on the light above my bed πŸ’‘ and I accidentally had a solder bridge and I sent 12 volts somewhere I shouldn’t and had some smoke and I burned up a hc-05 Bluetooth adapter. Fixing the mess I made took all afternoon and I never got things working right. πŸ”₯ I ended up reading πŸ“– for a few hours this basically kids book about myths about wildlife and nature. But it still was interesting.

But I don’t think it matter that much, the weather wasn’t that nice yesterday. ☁ I don’t think I missed much. If I can’t get those HC-05 modules to talk to each other I can always just get some more, they’re inexpensive. I’ll figure it out.πŸ‘

Tonight will have isolated showers before midnight, then a chance of rain, mainly after 3am. Cloudy 🌧, with a low of 51 degrees at 5am. Seven degrees above normal, which is similiar to a typical night around May 27th. Maximum dew point of 52 at 9pm. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. In 2018, we had thunderstorm in the evening, which became partly cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 50 degrees. The record low of 29 occurred back in 1974.

While not a terrible evening I skipped my evening walk 🚢 because it got late early. And I was just tired 😴 and dirty because I didn’t bother with a shower 🚿. I probably could have gone for a walk but five minutes after it got nice it got yucky again. Plus I did ride the bike for an hour in the morning and I was kind of into reading the book πŸ“– that I had gotten out of the library on wildlife myths.

Tonight will have a Waxing Crescent Moon πŸŒ’ with 1% illuminated. The moon will rise at 6:29 am. The First Quarter Moon is on Friday night with mostly cloudy skies. The Flower Moon 🌝 is on Friday, May 17th. The sun will rise at 5:45 am with the first light at 5:13 am, which is one minute and 17 seconds earlier than yesterday. πŸŒ„ Tonight will have 9 hours and 44 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 24 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a chance of rain. Cloudy 🌧, with a high of 62 degrees at 3pm. Four degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around April 24th. Maximum dew point of 49 at 1pm. North wind around 5 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny in the morning, which became partly cloudy by afternoon. It was humid. The high last year was 76 degrees. The record high of 91 was set in 1944. There was a dusting of snow in 1900.❄

Doesn’t sound like tomorrow is going to particularly nice either. πŸ’ I’ll probably get to the grocery store 🏬 early in the morning and then do a few things around the apartment before going out to the folks house for dinner.

I am hopeful for better weather next weekend. β›Ί If the weather improves I may head up to Pisceo Powley Road, the southern part open in the spring time. Then do a day trip Saturday to Little Falls. I could change my mind but it would be fun to see that area in early spring.

In four weeks on June 1 the sun will be setting at 8:26 pm,πŸŒ„ which is 27 minutes and 35 seconds later then tonight. In 2018 on that day, we had hot and humid weather, mostly cloudy skies , rain showers and temperatures between 84 and 69 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 74 and 52 degrees. The record high of 94 degrees was set back in 1918.

Looking ahead, Flower Moon πŸŒ• is in 2 weeks, June 🍹 is in 4 weeks, Average High is 80 πŸ– is in 7 weeks, Independence Day πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ is in 2 months, Hottest Time of the Year πŸ˜… is in 10 weeks, Ugly Truck Day 🚚 is in 11 weeks, Average High Falls To 79 ️Degrees ⛱️️️ is in 16 weeks and Average High 70 πŸŽ‘ is in 20 weeks.
