May 29, 2018 Night

Good evening! Mostly clear and 70 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a north breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 55 degrees. Much less humid than earlier today.😍

It was quite the day at work after the long weekend but lots of things got done, 📚and I even had a little time to get over to Reszin’s house and label Save the Pine Bush Newsletters.💼 Got the end of the month reports done for work, a bit early but I stayed late and worked hard. I always like getting things done early so I’m not rushing at the deadline.

Tomorrow is a session day so I have to dress up and pay day to boot which is good because the rent check is due, and I have to pay off my credit card. 💸 But I’m also investing in my future which remains a top priority of mine. I’m still quietly hoping for a recession🎢 so I can get some deals in the market because shit is so overpriced these days. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before Trump blows up the energy and stock markets. Americans won’t win in a pissing match with the Arabs. β›½

The landlord applied black top sealant this morning and the whole backyard smells like toxic coal tar. Its pretty stinky inside too but hopefully the smell will deminish over time.🚧 Because the coal tar has to dry, I am kind of trapped parked on the grass out back but I guess I wasn’t planning on driving anywhere the next few days. 🅿As nice as asphalt is for motoring, I think I still prefer gravel as long as it’s relatively smooth. Coal tar is nasty stuff. I was surprised that he didn’t start work until after I left for work. I didn’t stay over at my parents house last night because I didn’t want to get trapped with no way to get back to park because they had already started applying the coal tar.

Tonight will be mostly clear 🌞 , with a low of 56 degrees at 5am. Four degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 57 at 4am. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. In 2017, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 56 degrees. The record low of 33 occurred back in 1967.

Tonight will have the Flower Moon 🌖 with 100% illuminated. It’s nice sitting our back with the bright moon light but almost too bright for the firefly lights. The Last Quarter Moon is next Tuesday with partly cloudy skies. The Strawberry Moon 🌝 is on Wednesday, June 27th. The sun will rise at 5:21 am with the first light at 4:47 am, which is 34 seconds earlier than yesterday. 🌄

Tonight will have 8 hours and 56 minutes of darkness, a decrease of one minute and 22 seconds over last night. If you went to bed at dusk and rose at dawn, you could save a lot on electricity this time of yesr unless you have solar panels like my truck.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny 🌞 , with a high of 81 degrees at 3pm. Eight degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 59 at 7am. Light southeast wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. A year ago, we had rain and mist in the morning, remaining cloudy in the afternoon. The high last year was 60 degrees. The record high of 92 was set in 1987.

I ended up fixing my Bluetooth headphones. It was just plugged well with ear wax.🐚 I’ve been very happy with the Anker Earbuds I ordered last December but they do seem to get from time to time plugged with ear wax. 🔊It also went dead on the way home but that’s totally my fault as I forgot to plug the ear buds to charge last night⚑ because I left the headphones in the truck.

Not a particularly nice weekend on tap. πŸ™ Saturday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Maximum dew point of 65 at 11am. Sunday, a chance of showers.☁ Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 56 at 6am. Typical average high for the weekend is 74 degrees.

I wasn’t really planning on going anywhere this weekend at any rate. Hopefully we will have at least a few nice days of summer during days I have off before summer is over. 😎Summer always comes and goes quickly, especially on these even years when I’m so busy. I might actually have things that I have to get done in town and the more I save in my milage budgetβŒ› the more I’ll have for future weekends. Thinking about taking off the last week of July for summer vacation before things get even busier come August. 🌟

All and all Big Red has been driving well. 🚗The solar panel rides perfectly in the roof despite the rough roads. It’s nice being able to sit back every night, run as many lights as I want and know by eight or so the next morning the accessory battery will be floating at 100%. 🔋A good charged battery means that I can camp all night long, operating as many lights and small accessories as I need without the low voltage disconnect kicking in. 🔌

In four weeks on June 26 the sun will be setting at 8:37 pm,🌄 which is 12 minutes and 48 seconds later then tonight. In 2017 on that day, we had thunderstorm, thunderstorm rain, rain, sleet, shallow fog, mist, partly cloudy skies and temperatures between 74 and 53 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 81 and 59 degrees. The record high of 99 degrees was set back in 1952.

Looking ahead, 8:30 PM Sunset ️⛱️ is in 1 weeks, Election Day 2018 🗳️ is in 23 weeks, Christmas 🎅 is in 30 weeks, New Years Day 2019 🎉 is in 31 weeks, 36th Birthday 🎉 is in 8 months and Election Day 2020 🗳️ is in 127 weeks.

🚧On that note, the coal tar is giving me a wicked headache and it smells awful, so I think it’s time for bed to boot. After eleven o’clock despite the big bright moon. 🚧
