May 17, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Happy Pack Rat Day πŸ€! I was looking around my apartment at some of the junk I have. A lot of it is scrap metal, I should see if I could take it somewhere and get a few bucks or at least recycle it. It’s just so easy to accumulate stuff, often broken stuff and parts you might use someday. Next Friday is Memorial Day Weekend Starts πŸ•οΈ. Hoping for nice weather next week, I probably will leave right from work from the Adirondacks. Maybe I’ll even get to leave before five — that would be nice, it happened last year, but this year might be too busy.

Drizzle, then heavy rain, then mist heading down to the Park and Ride and 54 degrees β˜” in Delmar. There is a south breeze at 10 mph. πŸƒ. The dew point is 45 degrees. The skies will clear around 4 pm.

Today will have showers likely, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy 🌦, with a high of 72 degrees at 3pm. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 23rd. Maximum dew point of 57 at 3pm. South wind around 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with a few breaks of sun the afternoon. The high last year was 80 degrees. The record high of 92 was set in 2017.

The sun will set at 8:13 pm with dusk around 8:45 pm, which is one minute and 2 seconds later than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ At sunset, look for mostly clear skies πŸŒ„ and temperatures around 65 degrees. The dew point will be 49 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 13 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 42 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy πŸŒƒ, with a low of 48 degrees at 5am. Typical for tonight. Northwest wind 7 to 13 mph. In 2018, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 51 degrees. The record low of 29 occurred back in 1981.

I don’t know about you, but I am sure tired of the rain.🌧 I was noticing this morning that the bathroom has gotten quite musty. I thing a good cleaning with lots of bleach is an order for the bathroom this weekend. Also some work on the kitchen. Before the heat kicks in on Sunday.πŸ›€ I really didn’t do much cleaning last weekend, because I was quickly running out to head up to the Adirondacks, and next week I’ll be heading out of town. I also need to get the bottles and cans out, because they haven’t gotten out last week. Maybe I should return them

At least I’ve been feeling better, during the second half of the week.😷 I don’t know why I had the headaches and achyness in the first half of the week on and off and the same thing last week, but it seems like it was going around the office. Kind of a cold without a full cold.

I’m hopefully now that I’m past this, and with the better weather, I’ll be feeling better, getting out, doing more walking 🚢and exercise and getting ready for the summer that’s coming. I did walk down to the bus stop and to the library, but I’ve not done my evening walks in a while. My big thing this summer is going to be more day hikes, and once the black flies are gone, more overnighters with the hammock (probably going to need an inexpensive, lightweight bug net).

I think I am set for the Lupine Festival, πŸ¦‹Β I just have to pick up the printed material from the print shop and just reorganize the bag to make sure I only have the supplies I need. I will run to the store, get some crayons πŸ– and food to eat tonight and while I”m there, because I’m pretty low at home, unless I get creative.🍞 I got figure out my lunch tomorrow — I guess I will get a ticket for food there but I’d rather pack my own and avoid the waste and unhealthy options. Need lots of water too, because it often is hot sitting out at the event.

As previously noted, next Friday is Memorial Day Weekend Starts πŸ•οΈ when the sun will be setting at 8:19 pm with dusk at 8:53 pm. On that day in 2018, we had sunny and temperatures between 80 and 52 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 72 degrees. We hit a record high of 92 back in 1964.
