May 10, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Next Friday is Pack Rat Day πŸ€. Further evidence I need a tractor with a front end loader and land in a state with few restrictions on open burning. πŸ”₯ Two weeks until the Start of Memorial Day Weekend. Really doesn’t feel that way

Occasional rain drops and 54 degrees πŸ’¦. I wore my rain coat and took the local bus into the city β˜”. They are getting more rain at the airport ✈ and even more up north. Stratford is getting soaked right now, it’s probably best not to be heading up there. β›Ί Breezy, ️16 mph breeze from the south 🌬 . The dew point is 46 degrees.

I am going to play it by ear πŸ‘‚ tomorrow and see what the weather looks like come the morning. I still think it might be fairly gray for the first half of the day. I might just go out for a walk to Five Rivers which might be pretty muddy. 🐸 I’m thinking once it’s nicer I’ll take more long weekends this summer in the Adirondacks.

I find myself looking at disdain every time I get one of those politicians mailers in the mail. βœ‰ I’m glad I don’t get involved in politics anymore. I think people often use political action as an excuse not to improve their own lives, with the thought being that one doesn’t have to be an agent for change in their own life if they tweet or post on Facebook. You can’t make the world a better place if you don’t make your own life better first. 🌎

As previously noted, next Friday is Pack Rat Day πŸ€ when the sun will be setting at 8:13 pm with dusk at 8:45 pm. On that day in 2018, we had mostly cloudy and temperatures between 80 and 59 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 70 degrees. We hit a record high of 92 back in 2017.

Memorial Day Weekend is in two weeks. The 8-14 day outlook is calling for drying and warming conditions. β˜€ I might see if I can get a jump start on the weekend, leaving a few hours early on that Friday but I doubt that will be possible as it’s a busy time at work. πŸ’Ό
