Good morning! Happy Thursday. Two weeks to Spring 🌷. Not that you would notice with the general lack of mercury, around 9 degrees in Delmar. 😎 Lots of sun though. I know if we were to open more coal plants we could have more mercury in the air, though I doubt it would warm things much up in the short run. 🏭 There is a southwest breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. There are 3.5 inches of snow on the ground. ☃ ️Things will start to thaw out at tomorrow around 1 pm. 🌡️

Maybe the cold will break for the weekend but in the meantime it’s nice and warm on the bus. 🚍Driver definitely has the heat 🔥 cranked up this morning. That and my heat kind of fell behind last night because I left it around 50 during the day not expecting such a cold night. You’d think I’d be more educated about the weather.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 34 degrees at 3pm. Seven degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around February 14th. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. A year ago, we had light snow in the morning, which became heavy snow by afternoon. The high last year was 35 degrees. The record high of 68 was set in 2012. 6.5 inches of snow fell back in 2013.❄

Got home around 8 pm after taking the 7:30 home. 🚍Not a bad day, fairly busy but not too outrageously busy. Hoping to be able to leave work at five tomorrow and Friday be a casual day at work. 👖

I made pasta for dinner 🍲. Not a bad dinner, went out for my evening walk then retired to bed. 🚶Retired to bed, the lights dimmed at 10:10 and I went to bed. Despite being a busy week 💼 it really has been manageable and not too crazy.

Back in 1967, Bloody Sunday: a group of 600 civil rights marchers is brutally attacked by state and local police in Selma, Alabama.👮✊ In 2019, that seems like such a long time ago now, and it has to be a bit depressing looking back for those who participated on how little progress has been made in America. 😳

Saturday looks nice but a bit cool, Sunday is a good day to stay home I think. 😕 Saturday, sunny, with a high near 39. Light and variable wind becoming north around 5 mph. Sunday, snow before 10am, then rain. High near 41. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Typical average high for the weekend is 41 degrees.

This weekend I’m thinking about hiking on Saturday and maybe seeing about doing Sunday dinner at my folks house 🏡 on Saturday, as I think Sunday is going to be cold and rainy. At least it will be rain ☔ for a change. Maybe I’ll see if John Wolcott is around on Sunday or maybe I’ll do some projects around home. 🔬 I would kind of like to wash my truck on Sunday.

I’m still thinking my first camping ⛺ trip will be that week leading up to Easter. I’m still weighing Central NY versus the Adirondacks and North Country. 🗻 Some will have to do with how much snow is left at that point. CNY would have better fishing opportunities for sure🐟 but I feel like I haven’t been up north in a long time.
