March 14, 2016 Evening
Good evening! Been kind of a cold, wet start to the work week. Currently some drizzle is coming down and it’s 41 degrees with a 9 mph southeast wind. The wind chill makes it feel more like 35.
Tonight the sun will set at 7:01 pm with darkness around 7:29 pm, which is 1 minutes and 10 seconds later than yesterday. Too bad it’s so cold and raining tonight. In four weeks on April 11 the sun will be setting at 7:33 pm, which is 32 minutes later then today. Daylight increases slower once we get past the first day of spring.
Tonight we have a Waxing Cresent Moon with 40% illuminated. It will set at 11:48 pm. The First Quarter Moon is next Monday and the March’s Full Worm Moon is on March 22nd.
Tonight look for rain likely before 8pm, then showers likely, mainly between 8pm and 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 39. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. That’s about 14 degrees above normal. The record low of 1 degrees was set back in 1993.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will be sunny, with a high near 48. Saturday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 30. Sunday will have a chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 46. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Not the perfect weekend forecast but not terrible for the first half of the weekend. And remember, it could be a blizzard.
I hope your Monday is going well. It’s been a Monday for sure. Have a great evening!
