June 13, 2021 Morning

Good morning! Happy Sunday ! ⛪ Three weeks to Independence Day 🇺🇸. Seems like summer is going by so quickly. Mostly cloudy and 61 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ Calm wind. The dew point is 57 degrees. This morning doesn’t seem so nice, but it apparently it will clear out later — NOAA is claiming the skies will clear around 9 am. I don’t know, so far it’s kind of dreary.

Yesterday was a fun day, 🚌 🏞 going up to Thacher Park. I hiked up around Thacher Park OSI parcel then Thompson Lake and then sat down and read a book by the Escarpment. Started and ended the day at Five Rivers as it was convenient place to catch the bus at. I am a bit tired after all the hiking — I probably did like 10 miles or more — and the ticks were so bad on the OSI parcel.

Today will be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny ☀, with a high of 81 degrees at 2pm. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 20th. Maximum dew point of 60 at 11am. South wind 3 to 7 mph. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high last year was 66 degrees. The record high of 94 was set in 1892.

The plan for today is to go to the Gas Up with Dad 🚜 and then we are going to have dinner. After then, I will probably go for a hike. I am leaning towards Wolf Hill – Keheler Preserve 🐦 as I’ve not done that before, but it will depend how I feel later on. It should be a nice day.

Arizona that the police must inform suspects of their rights before questioning them. 👮‍♀️ Also in 1970, “The Long and Winding Road” becomes The Beatles’ last U.S. number one song. 🎤 And in 1977, Convicted Martin Luther King Jr. assassin James Earl Ray is recaptured after escaping from prison three days before. 🚨

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until Independence Day 🇺🇸 when the sun will be setting at 8:36 pm with dusk at 9:10 pm. On that day in 2020, we had hot and humid weather that was partly sunny, patches of fog and temperatures between 89 and 65 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 83 degrees.
