Getting closer to the weekend now. 😎 Been a long week but we are creeping closer to it each day. Even if I don’t head out of town this weekend it still will be nice to see this long work week come to an end. I think it’s going to be pretty cloudy on Saturday, and Sunday will be rainy. Like so many weekends lately, 🌧 a pattern that might last into the summer.
On this day in 1966, the United States Supreme Court rules in Miranda v. Arizona that the police must inform suspects of their rights before questioning them.👮 Also in 1970, “The Long and Winding Road” becomes The Beatles’ last U.S. number one song.🎼 And in 1977, Convicted Martin Luther King Jr. assassin James Earl Ray is recaptured after escaping from prison three days before.
As previously noted, next Thursday is Summer ️⛱️ when the sun will be setting at 8:36 pm with dusk at 9:11 pm. Beach time, I hope, if the sun ever comes out. On that day in 2018, we had mostly sunny and temperatures between 76 and 56 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 79 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1953.
According to the sign in my bedroom, which is only as accurate as my programming, 📟 in a month the sun will be setting one minute earlier than today and we will loose 14 minutes of daylight. Winters coming.
On that note, enjoy your right to remain silent and I’m almost to work. 🏢
