July 13, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. Mostly cloudy and 71 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁ Calm wind. The dew point is 65 degrees. The skies will clear around 9 pm.

It looks like the muggers will be with us all week 😰 with humidity and the dew point well in the sixties and real muggy come Friday. For now my plan is stick close to home but I could change my mind. I’ve been thinking about going to the Potholers for some time now but it’s a pain with Piseco Powley Road still not open on the southern end.

Before it gets too hot this morning, I am going to go for a morning walk 🚢 and then take a quick shower and get down to work. I am continuing to crunch numbers πŸ”’ for the report I’m running but in the afternoon I have to do some more internet research so I’ll go down to the library πŸ“š where the internet is fast.

Today will have isolated showers between 11am and noon, then isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny 🌦, with a high of 84 degrees at 2pm. One degree above normal. On this day in 1977, the Great 1977 New York City Blackout begins, plunging New York into 24 hours of darkness, chaos, and crime. It really was a dark time in the city. πŸŒ†
