Got my eye examination today, nothing has changed. I got another pair of glasses and contacts for a year. I have to order the second year  of contacts by next June. I’ll just get them online . Washed my truck. Organized the gear in the truck.

Tomorrow they preform the air conditioning check and change the transmission fluid and transfer case fluid as part of the recommended maintance under the severe service schedule. I spent enough time on dirt roads and climbing mountains that’s it’s worthwhile to do. Maybe it’s a waste of money but I’d rather maximize the life of my truck. Put too much into it already. At any rate, I’ll stay plenty cool once the air conditioning is fully charged.

In October I’ll have the tires rotated and if I’m lazy, leave the oil change to the professionals, and I guess do the inspection. Maybe have the wheels aligned too in October to maximize tire life. We will see.
This weekend still looks good for camping and swimming in Schoharie although I guess that could change based on my work schedule. But that’s fine vacation is only a week away.

I got the new Bluetooth Speaker. It’s about what I expected but I wish it was a bit louder – it’s probably about as loud as my littler one. It is waterproof, rubber coated, and seems quite durable and scratch resistant for camping. The other one has gotten quite beat up in the woods.  15 hour battery life should keep it going for a while at camp without having to plug it into the truck. I has a microphone and can be used for calling. Hopefully it will serve me well. I’ll keep this one by my bed and put the other one in the kitchen and switch between them when making breakfast so I can catch the news over the radio in the kitchen.

Oh well. I want to get to bed so I can drop Big Red off at the shop early in the morning before a long day at work…
