January 9, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Static Electric Shock Day 🧼! That’s quite shocking, especially in buildings where the HVAC system isn’t doing a good controlling the humidity in the air, or those heated by wood. My parents always keep a tea kettle on their woodstove to control moisture in their house. Two weeks to National Cheese Lovers Day πŸ§€. Without cows, we wouldn’t have cheese. Well, and other lactating animals, but we cows the best because they produce the most milk πŸ„ and it has most neutral taste. πŸ₯› Mostly sunny and 15 degrees at the Bethlehem Public Library as I pass it by on the earlier local bus. 🚍 There is a northwest breeze at 8 mph. πŸƒ. The current wind chill is 4. There is a dusting of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ Things will start to thaw out at tomorrow around 9 am. 🌑️

Kind of a chilly morning out waiting for the bus. 🚏But I’m sure it can and will get colder this winter but I’m unadjusted to the cold ❄. Didn’t seem to cold this morning in my apartment but the wind had died down and it’s not that cold. These are the kind of mornings that I love 😍 to be in the woods next to the heater sipping a hot cup of coffee β˜•.

I got up early again because I knew I had to leave earlier for the local and needed extra time to get my suit and tie ready. πŸ‘”Last minute when I was putting my dress shirt on I discovered a stain and had to switch shirts. That’s fine although this shirt didn’t get ironed so the pocket has a wrinkle but you can’t see it under the jacket. So be it. I’ll save the other shirt for wearing with the vest. That said, I really enjoy getting up bright and early, πŸŒ† watching the sun rise as I drink my coffee. β˜• That is with a little hot coca mix put in it. I’ve heard it’s good to get a constant amount of sleep at regular times, so maybe I’ll continue to getting up at 6:30 AM come the weekend (and retiring to bed before 10 PM). πŸ›

Today will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 29 degrees at 2pm. One degrees below normal. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. A year ago, we had light rain in the morning, remaining cloudy in the afternoon. The high last year was 40 degrees. The record high of 62 was set in 2008. 9.9 inches of snow fell back in 1953.❄

Solar noon 🌞 is at 12:03 pm with sun having an altitude of 25.2Β° from the due south horizon (-45.6Β° vs. 6/21). The golden hour πŸ… starts at 3:55 pm with the sun in the southwest (232Β°). πŸ“Έ The sunset is in the west-southwest (240Β°) starting at 4:37 pm and lasts for 3 minutes and 21 seconds with dusk around 5:11 pm, which is one minute and 3 seconds later than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 5:47 pm. At sunset, look for partly sunny skies πŸŒƒ and temperatures around 27 degrees. There will be a calm wind. Today will have 9 hours and 15 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 16 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy πŸŒ₯, with a low of 21 degrees at 7pm. Seven degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around February 29th. Maximum wind chill around 21 at 6pm; South wind 5 to 13 mph. In 2019, we had partly cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 24 degrees. The record low of -13 occurred back in 1968.

Still looking at mild conditions and rain heading into the weekend. β˜”But maybe not quite reach the sixties but at least the heat will be off. Saturday, rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. South wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Sunday, rain likely before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Typical average high for the weekend is 30 degrees.

Going to be a rainy weekend but I don’t mind. πŸ’¦ I’m still thinking about heading back out to Madison County for the Martin Luther King weekend if it’s not going to be too cold, wet or snowy. β›Ί Seems like they won’t have much at this point but it could change. I still sure we will have some good snow β›„ and an artic blast before the end of the winter season.

🌹🌻🌼Only 70 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!🌹🌻🌼

I am looking forward to spring now that it’s only seventy days away. Everyday is one day closer. 🌷 I do believe time will go by quickly but that’s to my advantage because I’m a saver and investor and time gives a chance for growth.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until National Cheese Lovers Day πŸ§€ when the sun will be setting at 4:56 pm with dusk at 5:26 pm. On that day in 2019, we had rain showers, partly cloudy and temperatures between 40 and 9 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 31 degrees. We hit a record high of 64 back in 1906.
