The Pine Bush Hike today was fun and the new trail across the Kings Road Barrens is quite nice.😺 Cuts through some spectacularly beautiful Pine Bush and then up and over one of the esckers. I went out hiking first with Save the Pine Bush then out hiking some more by myself. 👬
Then I went down to the library for a while and then came back home. I had dinner and went to Lowes and bought some clamps and started working on scoring and breaking the plexiglass to size.📏 It came out decently well although no piece broke perfectly so I have had to do some sanding and minor trimming by score and break.📐 I am not going to use the acrylic weld at this point because I don’t think the pieces will fit together tight enough.🔲 I may instead use either superglue or hot glue to join the pieces. Not quite as durable or perfect looking but at least it won’t have the dangerous fumes. Honestly if the case doesn’t look perfect at close inspection,🆗 I’ll chock it up to being my first case I’ve built using this method. It will look much nicer than the paperboard case it’s currently in. The glowing screen and LED lights in the background should be ample enough of a distraction that it won’t even really be noticeable.
I am hoping to build much of the box tomorrow, assuming that I can find the superglue and get things a bit closer to plane. I’ve decided to also add an hour chime to the cost clock using a buzzer I have laying around. I often lose track of time and this will make it easier to keep track. I do need to still order the much smaller Arduino Nano which will power the project in its final form.
In four weeks on February 24 the sun will be setting at 5:39 pm, which is 36 minutes and 22 seconds later then tonight. 🌇In 2017 on that day, we had rain, patches of fog, partly cloudy skies and temperatures between 74 and 41 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 37 and 19 degrees. The record high of 74 degrees was set back in 2017.
Looking ahead, The Day the Music Died is in 1 weeks.
🌄Only 117 days remain until the start of Memorial Day Weekend!🌄
