I wonder if the teat strippers notice the time change

I am sure the cows certainly would notice if they’re being milked at the wrong time, and probably alarm clocks have to be changed. Though in that case, maybe an hour later then the rest of us all.

I was up around 5 AM though it was closer to 5:45 AM before I dared out of bed, instead thumbing through the news for a while before starting the reheated coffee. I think I’ve reheated this coffee a bit too much, adding water and a few more grounds each time to the percolator. Sunday I didn’t go caffeine free but I’m still trying to cut back, and indeed it helps with the sleep. I left the heat off so it’s about 46 degrees indoors though much warmer under the heated blanket.

Going to be a great week, with lots of sun but maybe crap for the weekend. You know rain. I’m sure a lot of people will be out spreading that cow crap now, I was thinking it might be fun to take the NLCD data and do some projections on how many acres that is. Or maybe using the USDA Nass data on corn and other nitrogen rich crops. Mostly for fun, but I don’t really have the time this week. So many things to do. That tangy smell out in the country as farmers get their fields ready for coming season. Onions, broccoli and two of those very expensive eggs for breakfast this morning as I’m a high roller. I know eating such a breakfast is impoverishing my future when I need the money to buy hog feed and diesel for shit spreader.

Showering shortly. Then getting on the bike and heading into the office good and early as there is always work to do. Should be a nice ride, I’ll try to be more law-abiding then on Friday, hopefully this morning I’ll time it so I’m not dealing with that stupid kid and school bus. I hate all that crap parents play with their young kids. Then work, work, work. It will be nice having daylight in the evening when I ride home and not so cold. Depending on my mood and how early I get out of work, I might this evening ride out to Voorheeesville. We’ll see. Bought a 5 lb bag of carrots and packed some with lunch, as not only are they good and nutrious snack, they also are loaded with Vitamin A which is good with measles roaring across the country, and the Health and Human Services department not recommending the MMR vaccine but fish oil. I’m fully vaccinated but I also got some salmon to have tonight for dinner at the store yesterday. More plastic-wrapped crap to burn in future, lol. But healthy, not the black smoke but those omega 3 fats with a good side of spinach.
