I watched the phone roll over from August 30 to the 31st and it struck me… πŸ•›

I was so jacked up on alcohol and cannabis last night and the fire but also listening to the more of Edward Abbey’s Monkey Works Gang and Otis Redding’s Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. I woke early needing to crap and having to go through the tent to fish more paper towels to wipe my ass on the bucket shitter that is much too far away from the truck in the pitch black of night.

Truth is listening to Edward Abbey’s Monkey Works Gang makes me all the more paranoid about how things are and how evil 😈 so much of modern society is. Still it’s good to be away from the advertising for solar panels and roofing companies and Better Help! So much of society has become a cult while people ignore the rot all around them. πŸͺ“ And I’m just here watching the cows graze and listening to Otis Redding, eating ice watching the days go by with my fishing 🎣 pole.

First a slow morning. πŸ’€ It’s the last day to be truly relaxed as tomorrow the pumpkin πŸŽƒ goes bad as they say, and I need to take down camp. 🧊I need ice this morning, it was cold last night but the gas station was closed and Dollar πŸ’² Tree didn’t have ice. Big pan of shredded zucchini, onions, Walmart radioactive shrimp 🦐 and eggs πŸ₯š this morning. Last night I finished off the eggplant πŸ† I had gotten earlier in the week. Pretty morning with deep blue skies!

Today it off to Sampson Lake Park 🏞️ midway up Seneca Lake. I could do the White Deer 🦌 tour but I don’t have time for that. I’d rather explore the old roads and woods of Sampson Lake swim 🏊 and maybe paddle on Seneca Lake. It’s about a half hour away which really isn’t that bad. A lot closer than Pennsylvania. I’ll probably ride some of the roads there and I’m bringing the tube just in case. β• It’s been so cold I think I only used the tube once – was it last Sunday on Foster Pond? Who knows it doesn’t take up much room.

Mid last week I emptied burnt the contents of the bucket shitter 🚽 but it was wet so it didn’t really burn well but then again so much camp garbage is things like corn cobs and peach rines which don’t burn well either even mixed with lots of wood πŸͺ΅and some plastic. If anything it just stinks. πŸ‘ƒ Maybe I’ll just dig a big hole to bury when I take things down. Want to have one more fire πŸ”₯ tonight but don’t plan to stay up late or do too much crazy πŸ€ͺ anything as I got to take down camp and well after 13 days head home.

I continued to think about Pennsylvania πŸ›’οΈ but I concede it’s dumb to go down there to see a bunch of run down homesteads and trailers with blackened oil drums out back. They have their laws βš–οΈ and we have ours. We have legal pot and I still burn shit regardless in the wilderness. πŸ•οΈ But I could go down NY 34 to US 220 to US 6 to Penna 29 to NY 7 to Southern Tier Expressway to NY 30! but that’s a long detour and out of the way. Instead, I plan to take down camp early, head to Robert Treman for a quick swim in Enfield Glen 🏊, then probably just take busy NY 79 and 206 to Whitney Point and Bainbridge, then maybe 88 to Oneonta and NY 23 to NY 990V arriving at Mom and Dad’s house 🏑 around five. I don’t know I got options but I want to avoid the freeways.
