This could be very instructive to what is the right response to the coronavirus.

• Was SLAM a success or failure?
• Was the time it bought worth the costs?
• Did SLAM save ash trees?
• Could SLAM have been more aggressively enforcement, buying more time?

The truth is that while the Emerald Ash Borer may have slowed, it was not a major slow down and the ash across New York is rapidly dying.
