I guess it’s the end of an era in Clarksville.

They’ve replaced the remaining mercury vapor street lights from the 1930s and 1940s (and the handful of newer high pressure sodium street lights) with LEDs.

So in the case of the mercury vapor lights with their ghastly blue colors, which most cities replaced with energy efficient high pressure sodium in the 1970s, they’ve jumped two generations.

Something so quant though about old mercury vapor lighting in the 2020s, despite being energy hogs relatively speaking and putting out that cold blue light.
