Here’s Why Nightcrawlers Are in Short Supply Right Now
Happy Monday.
Good Morning! Happy Monday. The work week comes back around. Not that I had much of a weekend, because it seems like I spent most of the weekend working on and off. So it goes. Wednesday at least is a pay day. Despite the cool weather they are getting in the mid-west, we are going to have hot, humid, and stormy weather in Albany over the next couple of days. I guess itβs good that I will be working late the next few days.
No news on my truck, although I drove past the body shop, and itβs still apparent that it hasnβt been in the shop yet. Mom reported the other day, they had the hood open though. I donβt think it looks good for getting out of town this weekend with the truck.
Kind of sucks, because I was hoping by now I could order the lift kit for my truck and get it installed in early August. I guess because Iβm not driving it, the tires will hold up for a lot longer. I want my truck back so I can go on some longer adventures, and bring my kayak. With the loaner truck, with itβs short bed, itβs hard to stick the kayak in the bed, and go any distance. Plus I miss having the cap for camping and the electricity. Summer vacation is kind of on hold in the mean-time.
Spent Friday and Saturday fishing off the dock at Henry Hudson Park in Cedar Hill on the Hudson River. Nice evenings, but didnβt catch a lot. I was hoping with my new bass lures, I would catch something. To be fair, with just a worm and spooner, I caught two little pumpkin fish, but they really werenβt worth doing anything with besides carefully taking off the hook.
Maybe this weekend I will be able to get out of town if the weather is nice. More tent camping, but it is what it is. You do what you can, with what you have. At some point, Iβll get my truck back. Iβm sure the insurance is getting tired of paying for my loaner truck, just as much as Iβm getting tired of driving it.
