Good Morning – September 29, 2021

Good morning! What day is it? Hump Day, of course. πŸͺ

I woke up this morning and my bedroom was cold. First time in a long time, not used to it being so cool in the morning. I guess that always happens this time of year. I heard it was National Coffee Day, and like most morning I partake with a good amount of milk in my freshly made peculator coffee. β˜•

Mostly sunny and 45 degrees in Delmar, NY. β˜€ Calm wind. Chilly start to the morning!

I’ve gotten used to taking the express bus 🚍 so quickly, not rushing out of bed for the morning walk 🚢. I still end up getting my 10,000 steps in between the walk to and from the park and ride, along with my evening walk as long as I walk around a bit during my lunch break. It’s good because the mornings are so dark these days. πŸŒ…

The express bus is lightly trafficked these days πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘¦‍πŸ‘¦ the riders from Voorheesville were mostly older and have since retired or moved on to other jobs and ways of commuting since the pandemic. Time marches on, I’m glad they have the express bus stop 🚏 but I wonder if its sustainable with such relatively low ridership. The local is fine but I prefer the express.

With the early bus, I get in pretty early, so I am thinking on nice mornings like this I might walk laps around the Plaza Roadway 🚢‍♀️ and get some more steps in, maybe enjoy the sunshine before work. I do kind of miss my old morning walk, but the express bus sure is nice to catch in the morning, without the craziness of city traffic.

It looks like I can’t schedule my appoint for the tires more then two weeks out, ⚫ but if I decide to go with Mavis Discount Tire, then they can get the tires shipped to them and installed in three days, but I will schedule sooner then that. American Auto Glass seemed to have a fairly similar schedule. Also considering Tire Rack, the online retailer, which would offer the most choices, although they don’t have the Nitto Tires I like. But if I go with Mavis, my only choice is the BFGs, which I don’t think are great tires, but they are the more affordable option, and my truck is getting old, so they should last the length of the truck.

I think my trip to West Viriginia is still on for the end of the October, probably through Election Day. πŸ—³ I’ll have to make sure that I early vote, assuming it’s not too crazy the first week. 🍁 The leaves will be gone from the higher elevations — like Canaan Heights — but it still should be quite nice to get away for a week. β›Ί I haven’t taken those days off yet, but I don’t anticipate they will be difficult to get off due to being the time of year it is.
