Good Morning – February 13, 2022

Good morning! Happy Superbowl Sunday. 🏈

I don’t own a colored television, so I don’t really know what it’s about, but I guess it involves getting drunk while eating chicken wings and potato chips so it sounds like fun I guess. But I don’t know, it’s not my thing.

Cloudy and 21 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☁️ There is a north-northwest breeze at 6 mph. πŸƒ. There are 2 inches of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️Things will start to thaw out at Wednesday around 11 am. 🌑️

Going to be cold the next few days. ❄️ Winters back, although bar a few snow flurries this morning, shouldn’t be a lot of ice except maybe on the sidewalks. Cold but not super cold. Good for the heating bill, although truth be said it wasn’t that bad last month — $111 — which is more then I want to spend but reasonable with the outbreak of cold we had for a good portion of January. Figuring a tank of gas is $80 nowadays, and I’ve not been doing much driving lately, less then 100 miles in January, not that big of deal. But then a warm up by mid-week.

Today I am going to do some cleaning around 🧹 and then maybe go skiing for a while at Five Rivers β›· then out to the folks house for Sunday dinner fairly early 🍽 so I don’t have to drive home in the dark.Days though are getting noticeably longer for sure. I wish it though was a bit sunnier and nicer today — yesterday wasn’t bad walking out to Five Rivers, but it started to cloud up later in the afternoon and was windy. 🌬 I should probably take out the trash, it’s been a few weeks. πŸ—‘

Next weekend I might head up north for the long weekend, πŸ• and do some winter tent camping, assuming the weather is reasonably warm but below freezing and the snow isn’t too deep, as I need somewhere to park and then drag my gear back to camp. But then I won’t make it through February with the $20 of gas in my truck, but so be it. β›½ I have the truck to get out of town, and I haven’t really gotten out of town or gone anywhere besides Partridge Run since that trip I took at the end of December.
