Good Morning – August 21, 2021
Good morning! Happy World Mosquito Day π !
Is that something to celebrate? That’s a debatable point. But it’s the weekend so no work today. Going to rain tomorrow.
Partly sunny and 71 degrees in Delmar, NY. π€οΈCalm wind. The dew point is 70 degrees.
Today is going to relatively sunny βοΈ and hot so I thought about to go to Schoharie but I think it’s going to rain starting fairly early tomorrow so not a good weekend to camp. Next weekend looks cool but sunny so I’m thinking about next week.
Instead I think today will be a Five Rivers Environmental Education Center πΈ and Thacher Park day. I thought about heading into the city to swim at Lincoln Park pool but I’m not that enthusiastic about heading into the city. I still have a lot of reading left in my summer reading program π left to do and books are due back at the library shortly so I should do Thacher, hike some and spend the balance of the day in a hammock and at least finish one book and start another.
I was up early this morning, π chewing over what to do. I did really want to do Mine Kill today especially with the heat but I am noticing how much quicker the Tropical Storm Henri is tracking my way and how wet Sunday will be. I remember camping a few years back during that Tropical Storm that hit Labor Day Weekend and it was so wet.
I got my replacement phone π±up and running, which is the same as what I had before only a year less worn without the smashed screen. It was only $20 for the reburbished model that looks like new. Seems good. While I had to buy a month’s service with it, they just put the month service I bought on reserve so I ended up losing no time on this month. Nice thing is now my plan adds the 10 gig Hotspot for no extra cost – to think I was paying $10 a month all winter for what now is free. I don’t though have unlimited data at this point.
