Friday! 🗓️

Moving slowly but moving into the weekend.

Good morning, Happy Friday. ☺️ Up and going on this Friday, maybe not so fast but I should get in the shower soon 🚿 as I need to stop and get cupcakes or something for Donna and Judy’s birthday in the office this past week. I’ll stop at Hannaford on the way in, hoping the rain will hold off. 🌧️

One more day and we have made it through the work week. 🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Mom and Dad are out of town on Sunday so I might go out and visit them tomorrow. Going to be  a rainy day, so I guess that breaks it up. And maybe on the way home I’ll swing by Wally World and get groceries 🛒 and top off the tank on SuperDuty before it gets too low and expensive to fill up. ⛽

I went out to Five Rivers 🐸 after work and it was fairly cool. Read some more of Thomas Stanley’s The Millionaire Next Door 💲 and then went for a walk 🚶‍♂️ as I was getting a bit chilled through and wanted to see the changing wildflowers. 🌸 Already the apple blossoms are mostly done. I’ll visit the Pine Hollow Arboretum on Sunday I’m thinking. 🌳

Slept well last night but still feel a bit tired this morning. 🛏️ I don’t know I might be a tad bit sick but I don’t really feel that sick. Feel good enough to ride my bike to work, and at any rate I do need to get my computer as I need to finish up processing that absentee list before the weekend. Didn’t have a lot of fruit left, so this morning’s carrot pancakes 🥞 were a bit heavier on the stevia, cinnamon and eggs, 🥚 very fluffy but not a lot of taste.

Tomorrow marks four weeks 📆 since I ordered the truck cap. Andy Ruth estimated 4-5 weeks for manufacture and one week for shipping, so I’ll have to reach out the end of next week to see where that all stands. I will need to transfer money and get a bank check 💵 to pay for camper shell, as Ruth charges for credit cards 💳 far more then a bank check. But at least I was glad I should have enough cash avaliable to pay off my April credit card bill, which is high because it had the down payment for the truck, bed liner and truck cap all put on it, along with paying for my car insurance 💸 which they opened as a new line but then subsequently sent me like $250 back when they were able to later on attach it to my good driving record, despite the time I didn’t have an insured vehicle.

Other then that I’m thinking maybe of doing some hammock camping 🥾 especially over the long Memorial Day Weekend which now is only two weeks away. Somewhere locally, maybe Cole Hill or another state forest in the area. Even if I’d o have the truck cap, I probably won’t have everything wired up and gear ready for camping by then, though I’m hoping either the first or second weekend of June to take off that Friday 🏕️ and maybe head out Schoharie, hike Bramley Mountain Fire tower, then ride some of Catskill Scenic Trail.
