February 19, 2020 Night
Good evening! Partly clear and 26 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 9 mph. 🍃. The current wind chill is 12. There is a dusting of snow on the ground. β Things will start to thaw out at Saturday around 10 am. 🌡οΈ
It was a nice Pine Bush Dinner 🌎 featuring the folks from Extinction Rebellion. While it’s not my thing and I’ll bitch if they block the road 🚧 and leave me hungry for dinner on the bus heading home 🚍 like Occupy Albany, they are definitely doing God’s work and as always a really good dinner. I actually heard them speak previously at Bethelem Neighbors for Peace. β We need more people to speak up and have their voices heard. I’m not into the activism thing and I may find some activists annoying 📢 but they’re doing a good job raising serious concerns.
I got my dry cleaning dropped off, my hair cut and groceries after the Pine Bush dinner. I was tired 😴 and it seemed like that last little bit of drive home was long from the store 🏬. It not far but I just remember listening to I Have A Hammer 🔨 by Peter, Paul and Mary and wishing I was home. $18 and I should be good on groceries for the rest of the week. Which is good because money 💵 is tight and I don’t want to shopping before Sunday. I am not planning on camping this weekend weekend – too much snow and hassle but it will be a nice weekend for the Pine Bush Hike 🚶 and maybe more skiing 🎿 on Sunday.
