Five States, Eight Days

I ended up visiting five states over eight days, including the Commonwealth of Virginia. Apparently they don't spend a lot of money on fancy signage welcoming people to Virginia on dirt roads over Shenandoah Mountain like Camp Run Road I took over the mountain on Monday.

Prospect Peak

Narrow with the Great Laurel Along the Davis Trail

On Monday 10/23, in the afternoon I hiked the Davis trail from Canaan Loop Road through the dense Rhododendron down to Blackwater State Forest. It's a nice trail but as is common in the highlands of West Virginia, the trails can be soggy so waterproof boots are highly recommended.
