I think there should be permanent daylight savings time south of the Mason Dixon line but north of it they should continue flipping back to standard time north of it due to the winter loss of daylight that is more extreme in northerly latitude.

There is still noticeable snow around in places but it’s fading away relatively quickly. Rain over the next few days, especially Saturday with higher temperatures will be tough on the snow.
