June 21, 2018 – Next Sixteen Weeks

πŸ„πŸŒ» Welcome to summer! πŸ–β›Ί

Ten weeks exist until the start of the Labor Day Weekend, so get out and enjoy it before it is gone.

This weekend will start the latest sunset of the year, however we will have about 4 weeks of sunsets around 8:30 PM or later. The warmest time — on average — of the summer is still about a month out, but eventually we will reach an average high of 83 degrees. Then in ten weeks, it will start to cool off a bit as autumn approaches, and the sun will start setting noticeably early.

Nearly half of New York state is in pre-drought phase

"About half of New York state is inching toward a drought, according to today's U.S. Drought Monitor weekly report. About 45 percent of the state is "abnormally dry," the category before "moderate drought." Just over 4 million people live in that area. Most of Upstate New York will likely get an inch of rain through next Tuesday, according to the Weather Prediction Center."

 Fishing At The Bleheim Reservior

This summer resolve to spend more time in the wilderness, more time fishing, more time visiting waterfalls and scenic vistas to sit and enjoy alone in the quiet. You’ll be a lot happier if you do this.
