Why Don’t Americans Use Bidets? – YouTube.

Probably because at one time in America, most people didn't have flush toilets. But that was a long time ago, and nowadays with modern sewers it makes a lot of sense -- and would keep a lot of toilet paper out of landfills. Granted, if you have an outhouse or your in a back country, toilet paper makes more sense.

The Promise of the $20,000 House

I like the idea of a $20k house and the fact it's not all made out of vinyl siding or asbestos shingles. The windows are a bit small, but I guess one could swap them out for bigger windows -- maybe go a reuse shop? I assume it has a hot shower, and I could envision putting solar cells on the roof for off-grid power.

Then again, the Internet is full of ideas for cheap mini-houses, most of them just converted over sheds. This thing looks a bit bigger.
