Summer

June 21, 2018 – Next Sixteen Weeks

πŸ„πŸŒ» Welcome to summer! πŸ–β›Ί

Ten weeks exist until the start of the Labor Day Weekend, so get out and enjoy it before it is gone.

This weekend will start the latest sunset of the year, however we will have about 4 weeks of sunsets around 8:30 PM or later. The warmest time — on average — of the summer is still about a month out, but eventually we will reach an average high of 83 degrees. Then in ten weeks, it will start to cool off a bit as autumn approaches, and the sun will start setting noticeably early.

This Summer

 Fishing At The Bleheim Reservior

This summer resolve to spend more time in the wilderness, more time fishing, more time visiting waterfalls and scenic vistas to sit and enjoy alone in the quiet. You’ll be a lot happier if you do this.

"The Fourth of July was traditionally celebrated as America's birthday, but the idea of an annual day specifically celebrating the Flag is believed to have first originated in 1885. BJ Cigrand, a schoolteacher, arranged for the pupils in the Fredonia, Wisconsin Public School, District 6, to observe June 14 (the 108th anniversary of the official adoption of The Stars and Stripes) as 'Flag Birthday'. In numerous magazines and newspaper articles and public addresses over the following years, Cigrand continued to enthusiastically advocate the observance of June 14 as 'Flag Birthday', or 'Flag Day'."
