Buckton State Forest
Buckton State Forest covers 1,092 acres over 4 parcels in the town of Stockholm in northeastern St. Lawrence County. The land, located in the St. Lawrence Valley is largely flat and divided by the Saint Regis River.
Benson Mines
he Benson Mine is an iron-ore mine located near Star Lake, a village in the southern St. Lawrence County, New York. The ore body at Benson Mine was discovered in 1810 by engineers conducting a survey for a new military road from Albany to Ogdensburg. The mines closed in 1978.
The state is advancing a solar project on a former tailings pile with a potential buildable area of 172 acres located in the Town of Clifton, St. Lawrence County for an estimated 20 megawatts (MW) solar capacity project.
Saint Lawerence River Channel
This is a channel of the Saint Lawrence River, from a trail at the Robert Moses State Park.
