I checked, and so far NWS Albany hasn’t posted the 1991-2020 climate normals yet. They should be released fairly soon, as it can’t be difficult calculation, as any data in the past 30 years is certainly computerized. I am very interested in analyzing that data to see how much and when the climate has shifted compared to to the 1981-2010 normals currently in use.

8-14 Day Outlook – Monday January 11

It looks like as we head through the second half of the month, we have a decent chance of above average weather. That said, it looks like the mild pattern of this winter is breaking down and it might be cold come February.

The season of mud, manure and black flies can’t be that far away. Just make it through a week and do it ten more times, and then we can at least look at the calendar and pretend that spring is upon us while looking jealously at the folks down south with all their green grass.
