Pennsylvania Parks are free

I love how Pennsylvania Parks are all free to use. Hard-working families shouldn’t have to dig into their pockets for a day at the beach or picnicking in a scenic gorge. Many don’t necessarily have the $7-8 to go to the park.

Austin, PA

Not far from the Austin Dam, the historic dam that collapsed and flooded out a community. I remember smelling the coal smoke and hearing the gun shots ring out from the hills as I explored this little hick town with a general store and some fairly run-down houses deep in Appalachia.

Galeton

Heading through Galeton PA on US 6. Another small town in the mountain country of Pennsylvania Wild reigon.
